23 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
We first arrived to find the parking lot to be only 18 parking spots with over 30 rooms. We were told to park on the MAIN road out front the hotel but they were not liable if anything happened to our vehicle. After realizing our reasonable needs were not going to be accomodated we asked to cancel our reservation and were denied even though they could not accomodate our needs. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he would have to call me because he was not on the property. I NEVER received a phone call which i feel is simply RUDE since we were paying to stay at his establishment he could have done the common courtesy of call a guest. We then arrived in our room we found the sheets worn through, an awful smell of mold, and one of the biggest spiders i have ever seen. Needless to say we woke early in the morning to make our stay as short as possible. We stay in hotels for business every night for the last 8 months and i have never encountered such a horrible hotel with staff that is so unwilling to help. I would NEVER suggest this hotel to anyone regardless of budget there are nicer hotels for the same price if not cheaper in the area.

Excellent
This was a good value for us. We needed 2 rooms, one smoking and one nonsmoking, which meant it was different wings. However, the staff made it as convenient as possible and we were just steps away from each other. The rooms were clean, beds...

The staff was unwilling and unable to clear a plugged toilet that was in that condition when we arrived. No solution was offered other than living with the unusable restroom.
I am not likely
to return to the Econo Lodge Downtown.
I would not recommend it to friends.

When we arrived at our room, the toilet would not flush and it was full. The front desk staff would not fix the problem, nor move us to another room. We were told that the maintenance staff had gone home for the day. The manager was unavailable. I requested a plunger and I fixed the problem myself.
I am not likely
to return to the Econo Lodge Downtown.

Our room had cooking facilities but there was old food in the cabinets, the refrigerator, microwave, and sheets were dirty. We asked for another room and were told that there were none available but after, the front desk person came up with another...

Horrible
The shower didn't work properly. The bed was slanted. There was hair in the towels. We moved to a better room after complaining to the front desk. The continental breakfast was mediocre.
