Staff was excellent! Very nice and helpfully! We had no problems at all our whole stay. The rooms like look they have been updated. My kids loved the pool. The desk clerk even let them swim after 10pm even tho the pool closed at 10pm. She said it was a slow night so they could swim loger if they wanted. They were very pleased with that. Check in and check out was very fast and friendly! We will be staying at this hotel everytime we come to Cedar Rapids. Thumbs up to the staff!

Stayed at this Hotel it was very bad. The beds were so bad you couldnt sleep. Air conditioner did not work, carpets are stained, room stunk, and not up to date facility. Made reservation with manger, told I would have first floor and room one because I had dogs, needed a smoking room also. Told them I was an AARP member told me room would be cheaper. Did not get my discount, and did not get room 1. I was placed on the second floor, not in a smoking room, was given ashtrays and told we could smoke in a non-smoking room. In the days I stayed they never changed the bedding, not once! The second day staying I received a call saying we where not allowed to have pets and had to talk to management. On the third day, Monday after taking the dogs out I received another call telling me I need to come downstairs to check out. When arrived at front desk, the woman started telling me That I did not tell them I had dogs, and they only allow 2 dogs. I argued with her and she was very rude and snotty. I reminded her of the phone conversation we had, about how I had to have first floor because of my dogs, so how did I not tell them I had pets. The manager told me to call the phone company and have them give me a copy of our phone conversations and it would prove that I did not tell them about my pets. Finial comment I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!!!
We stayed in late July for wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. Motel lobby was cleaned. Front desk guy named Syed was helpful in carrying our luggage. Not only him, but all the staff were great. Our rooms were good and breakfast was great...
The hallways reek of smoke. The rooms are neat and clean but the TV and furniture were dated. Aspen Inn down the street is just as nice, smells a whole lot better, and costs...
