Econo Lodge Carlstadt Hotel - Page 1

You're just outside of New York City...who comes to New York City to see the inside of a hotel room. It is what it is...go out and enjoy the city, who cares what your hotel looks like.

We stayed there a few weekends ago. Me and my wife took a room and my friend and his wife took another. We really had no issues while we stayed there. The best part of this was that the bus stop is a small walk away from there and it takes you straight to the heart of NYC.(Port authority). Its only a 10 min ride (provided its not peak hour traffic). I would defiantly suggest that if your budget is limited, go ahead and book your stay here. We found the rooms/toilets to be very clean.They provided a fridge, microwave,about 30 channels TV, a comfy double bed and morning continental breakfast (which wasn't very good but acceptable) for 75bucks including taxes(a working A/C too btw).

Based on my experience we will definitely stay there again. My friend agreed to the idea as well.

This is the most stupid hotel I have come across. The rooms are not clean, hygenic. A lot of fly's would welcome you. The carpet is really bad. Smoke smell every where. The location is worst, situated besides some food or some kind of small industry. No place to eat anywhere close by. Old hotel not maintained properly. I did not see many customers. I would not recommend this hotel even if provided free!!

The hotel is reasonable in price and value. But the staff has a tendency to get confused easily.
