We stayed at this hotel for two nights while we went to the track at Saratoga. The staff was rude and inattentive. The complementary breakfast was mediocre at best. My husband slipped as he was getting into the shower and broke his toe. The staff on duty could have care less and gave us incorrect directions to the ER. I would never stay in this hotel again and can not recommend it at all.
We were first given a room next to the incoming gas line which had a high pitched whine. The manager clearly knew of the problem as he started making new keys when he saw us walk in the door. The walls are paper thin, and the lights were all so dim that we couldn't see how shabby and dirty it was until the morning. There were lots of trucks in the lot. Bring earplugs and maybe your own sleeping bag. All said, however, it was a room with a TV. For the price, I guess you can't expect much more.
I am not likely
to return to the Econo Lodge Albany.
I would not recommend it to friends.

There were several problems with their wireless internet service. The room was musty smelling, carpet was dirty, found a spider leg between the sheets when I turned down the bed, tub was filthy and the owner was standing behind me at the ice machine ...

Okay
This hotel is about what you'd expect from a discount chain. The price wasn't too low, though. I had to stay in a smoking room (it was all that was available) and the smell was very strong, even over-powering. But, otherwise it was plain but not bad....

I did not enjoy my stay. This is the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I'll never stay here again. For example, I told the manager that I had no internet access, and he was not receptive in resolving the issue. I asked for more towels and he only gave me 1. There were too many unpleasant areas in this building: ice machine is too dirty, walls falling apart, rugs too dirty, and a fowl odor in the air. This is not a statement from anger but the truth as it is. If you don’t believe me stay here and you’ll find out.
