I have stayed here twice and both times with extremely different experiences.
The last time we got one of those back row rooms on the river and it was a letdown. The river is the best part, but there are no privacy areas back there, and the rooms are old, and smell like they are water logged.
The TV remote didn't work right and all the furniture was old. The only security was a chain on a door that didn't have a lock that worked. The bathroom light flickered and we felt as though we had been ripped off.
The reason we stayed there then, was the first time we got a room near the pool, but that was the extent of any view (none) but it was newer and cleaner. The pool was also a good distance from the main road so you could traffic watch without getting eyeballed while you are half naked by the pool.
There seems to be two different motels in one place here. A word of advice, unless they have improved the back row riverside rooms drastically, stay near the pool. You have to drive to anywhere in Pigeon Forge because it is a strip several miles long so nothing worthwhile is in walking distance from this duel identity motel.
Its strictly middle class rooms by the pool, or lower class by the river.
