The East Avenue Inn is a good Hotel but has very little ammentities. You get a clean room, a bed and T.V. They have added Wireless Internet since my last stay and I was able to log on easily. A very good place to stay if you are on a tight budget....
I was disappointed in the East Ave. Inn. There is no Internet access in the rooms and what access is available in the lobby is not "free," despite their advertisements to the contrary.
The worst thing, however, was the very noisy bar located across the street from the side of the hotel (the side that faces the odd number rooms). If it is warm enough, the bar patrons and their music spill outside until 2 a.m.
The rooms are clean and the location is convenient.
This is a cheap motel in a great area. For $59.00 to $70.00 per night its not bad at all. The owner Sue is a little moody at times, but the rest of her staff is very nice and helpfull.
The "jr. suite" we reserved was very outdated, the king bed was hard as a rock. The bath room was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The shower had no water control and would go...
The room is clean and the service is good, and it is located in the downtown, easy for us to go anywhere.People in this inn are kind and friendly. It is really worthy.
35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I was looking to find a budget hotel that offered wireless internet. I found it here!
The front desk treated me great and the rooms were clean. I gave a presentation in the conference room via our web site using the wireless network and all went well. I did have to pay $8.95 for the wireless internet (the price for all day usage), but it was worth the savings on the room. I will stay again in the future.
When I first pulled into the parking lot, I thought I was in trouble! The building looked old. Once I walked through the front doors, my whole impression began to change. The staff was very nice. The rooms were very clean. The location is one of the ...

It's in a great location and the price is right, but it is lacking in many ways.
There is no wireless internet access. While the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the bathrooms especially are degrading. Shampoo and soap is provided, but that's it as far as amenities.
My biggest problem is the way you're treated at the front desk upon arrival. I am a relatively clean, respectable looking individual, but every time I walk in, they look and speak to me in a suspicious manner, as if I'm intruding and have no business being there. They do nothing to make you feel welcome or to show they appreciate your business. This is a huge contrast to many other places, like the Quality Inn, where you are treated as a guest. At the East Avenue Inn, you're treated like an intruder, even when you've already paid and are going back to your room.
The place looks like it was once beautiful and it's unfortunate that it's fallen into the state it has. I will continue to stay there because the rooms are clean enough, the price is good, and the location is excellent. With better management this place could be great.
As mentioned by the other reviewers this is a no frills operation. I would liken staying at the East Avenue Inn to staying with an elderly relative - they are able to keep up with the day to day cleaning (our room/bath were both spotless), but the...
I don't know how some of the other reviewers found this to be a nice place. The motel smelled very bad, the decor was really terrible, and the rooms were barely tolerable. I found the service to be okay: they were reasonably nice, but had no...
