While the price was low and the bed was – Posted Dec 11, 2008

Horrible

While the price was low and the bed was surprising comfortable, the smell was constantly bad. Our room was non-smoking, but the stale-smoke smell was strong. We went and bought air freshner and our own pillows and cases. Their pillow cases were...

It's been nice – Posted Dec 07, 2008

Good

I have stayed at this motel 3 x's now and its been clean and well taken care of every time. I saw no dirt or anything like that anywhere. I felt right at home and comfortable and the desk clerks were always friendly.

Okay
36 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I was disappointed that they did not have a room with two beds available. They also could not provide a portable bed. The bed was also surprisingly small. Otherwise the room was well furnished. More coffee and sugar would have been a plus.

The person who checked us in seemed pretty hip. The location gave us easy access to cool downtown Champaign. They did not seem phased by four of us staying in the same room.

I am not likely to return to the ESA Champaign-Urbana.
I might recommend it to friends.

Dirty and uncomfortable – Posted Jan 15, 2007

They had dirty hallways and public areas, but the rooms are fairly clean, although the vacuuming leaves something to be desired. Their terrible marshmallow pillows detract from an otherwise comfortable bed.

What a dump and a rip off! – Posted Jan 17, 2006

Horrible

My 83 year old grandparents were displaced from their home and had to stay at this 'motel' for over 2 weeks. When I arrived in town to check them out, I was overcome by the stale odor of room, not to mention the condition of the floor. ...

Good
by a traveler from Bloomington , IN
22 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The size and quality of the room was more than I had expected, considering the price. The Extended StayAmerica had significantly lower rates than other hotels in the area. Furthermore, the room had more to offer than other hotels that had higher rat

The room was much bigger than I had anticipated, considering I was the only person staying in the room for the night. It was nice to have a small kitchenette in my room, as well.
