Mediocre
I booked a room with two queen beds and a whirlpool type tub at 30% off the regular rate, as offered by the reservation agent over the phone. I booked the stay about an hour before my arrival, so I was told my credit card would be charged in full...
The hotel provides a continental breakfast. It's in a neighborhood that feels reasonably safe & respectable. There are nice shops and a multiplex theater nearby. The desk clerk was not the sharpest crayon in the box.

This place has a lot to offer for the price. It is an older hotel with carpets that could use replacing a couple of broken tiles in the bathroom some scuffs on the wallpaper and the overhead fan is wobbly and noisy but there are so many little extras I am constantly surprised. The room is very clean and the maid service is fantastic. The beds are comfortable. The furniture is nice, very sturdy and comfortable. There are dispensers that have great gels and lotions. There is a pullout magnifying mirror by the sink that is a god send. The lights are bright and easy to read by. There is a sturdy cabinet that houses a nice ironing board and a really good iron. There is a basket that provides packets of mouthwash, toothpaste, a makeup remover towlette, a razor, a sewing kit with the other things you would actually expect. The towels are oversized and plentiful. The shower is strong and additionally has a spray set up I have never seen offered before that does a pretty good low back massage. We are here in a horrible heat wave and the airconditioner, while loud is doing a great job to keep us comfortable. We have made great use of the microwave and refrigerator. The wireless internet works great and is free which by the way isn't true down the street at the more upscale Marriott hotels. The hotel has outside entries but is in a very nice section of town and I would definitely stay here the next time we come.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was more than we expected for the price. It was very clean and somewhat roomy. We read that the hotel was in a bad neighborhood but found that the neighborhood was just fine. There is a good restaurant in walking distance. We were very happy with the overall experience.
