Official Hotel Information
A boutique hotel in Manhattan, it occupies a building raised in 1903, the Chemist Club, where all the architectural details have been preserved, including its splendid marble staircase. The classicism of its structure contrasts with a stunning interior decoration, bearing obvious reminiscences from the world of art and culture, an example of work by the Jeffrey Beers studio. Of its 107 guestrooms, the Alchemy Suite is noteworthy, decorated in Gothic style, situated in the attic, recreating a mediaeval alchemist's laboratory. The Dylan Hotel also provides two reception rooms with capacity to house 50 persons, a fully-equipped gym and a grill-restaurant offering a wide variety of culinary tastes and styles and dishes in the new American style in an atmosphere that combines comfort and elegance with a simple but exceptionally good cuisine. The hotel is situated in the hub of midtown Manhattan, close to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Central Station or Times Square, amongst other tourist attractions. Stayed at the Dylan over the weekend and although it 's in a great location (just a few blocks from Grand Central), it is run down and well in need for a renovation. All of the tabletops and cabinetry were scratched and/or showed abrasion marks. N
