Along the San Antonio River, you won?t see any barges, Polar Bear Club events or rustic gambling boats. Instead you?ll find tropical walkways, gourmet restaurants and rare boutique shops lining the banks of the peaceful river. You could even call it a luxury river. And there?s no better place to experience this luxury river?s delights than the Drury Plaza on the San Antonio River Walk.. When we say ?on the River Walk? we mean it. While it?s not recommended, you could easily cast a fishing line from your room into the river (well, if there were fish in the river, but there aren?t). We also mean it when we say this hotel is beautiful. Formerly the Alamo Bank, this 24-story skyscraper was renovated to maintain its historical character while creating modern comfort. The lobby features 50-foot ceilings, travertine flooring and stained glass windows?forming the perfect ambience while you indulge in biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage at our free HOT! QUIKSTART® breakfast, mingle at our free evening Beverage Reception and snack on our free popcorn and soda as a supplemental dinner.. The rest of the hotel doesn?t cut any corners. Our guestrooms feature plasma flat screen HD TV?s, comfortable beds and free wireless Internet throughout the hotel. Combined with our relaxing rooftop pool, the Drury Plaza will be pretty tough to leave? but we don?t recommend staying in. San Antonio?s many attractions include Sea World, the Market Square, and a historical attraction you?ll always remember? The Alamo. Experience this wonderful city first hand and book a room today!.

I just got back from San Antonio and I had a wonderful stay at the NEW Drury Plaza on the Riverwalk! My mom and 2 teenage daughters were with me and we were all very pleased. The hotel is beautiful, very comfortable, and the staff is wonderful. The parking is $15.00 per night but is as cheap as anywhere else and is in a parking garage at the Drury, out of the weather etc. and you can hop on the elevator and get to your room or take a walk down the hall and go out the door and be on the Riverwalk! The complimentary breakfast was great and we had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, juice, fruit , baked goods and I could go on and on. There is also plenty of room and we did not have to wait on a table and there were lots of people there each morning. There are also drink machines with soft drinks, minute maid lemonade, coffee, tea, etc along with free popcorn available all throughout the day which also saved us a lot of money. Also adults get 2 adult beverages each evening and nachos and other snacks are available for everyone, AGAIN at no charge. I had to check out after 3 days to attend a conference at a known luxurious hotel also in San Antonio and let me tell you , all 4 of us wanted to go back to the Drury. We strongly considered checking out and going back to the Drury Plaza and if my meetings hadn't been scheduled for 7:00 am I would have !. After staying at the Drury Plaza others just do not measure up! We had a 32 " flat screen tv in our clean, spacious room, along with a microwave and fridge and a roof top pool , hot tub etc. When they say the extras aren't extra, they mean it! I can't wait to go back!

Our family stayed at the Drury Plaza in June 2007 and it was a great place. The restoration is beautiful and our room was great. We were in Room 1512, a corner room overlooking the city and it was really large and perfect for our family with plenty of space. If you have a family, I would recommend any room ending in 12 as there is lots of room. Large-screen TV and wireless internet were a plus, as well as the super-comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was all-inclusive and didn't have a separate dressing area, which would have been helpful. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We all ate every morning at the breakfast buffet which was great and had plenty of seating. We enjoyed the afternoon drinks, popcorn, nachos and cheese, chex mix, etc. It was great in the midst of sight-seeing to be able to go back to the hotel and fill up the kids with free sodas and snacks! We swam in the roof-top pool every day and explored the city, also attending a conference. Most things are in walking distance and the hotel basement walks out to the Riverwalk. This is the best hotel we've ever stayed at as a family!
