Springfield was originally known as Calhoun, IL, named after South Carolina Senator, John Calhoun. John simply fell out of favor with locals, at which point they renamed Calhoun ?Springfield?, which leads us into a semi-rough analogy. You see, Drury has little fear of being renamed Springfield because we have little fear that we?ll fall out of favor with you. Make sense?. Starting a day in Springfield with our free HOT! QUIKSTART® breakfast is a fine way to kick off a day of site seeing or business endeavoring, and with our free popcorn every afternoon and free evening beverage reception each evening, we want you to take advantage of every pick-me-up we have to offer. If beverages and popcorn aren?t for you, maybe swimming is. That?s why our indoor/outdoor pool is the perfect place to kick back and relax.. Amidst convincing you to enjoy our free amenities, we don?t want to limit your enjoyment of Springfield. The Illinois State Capitol has a lot to offer during those rare moments where you don?t feel like being in your hotel room. Yes, the State Capitol itself is one attraction worth seeing, but keeping in the political vein, the Lincoln Home is definitely worth your time as well. All in all, Springfield surely has plenty to offer, and coupled with Drury?s free amenities, we?re confident you won?t be disappointed..

Good
The mmorning complimentary breakfast was great; better than most hotels. The evening social time was nice although the food appetizers could have been better rather than chips and salsa. Offering of popcorn and soda throughout the evening was nice ...

72 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
This hotel is conveniently located just off the interstate, it has easy access to all of the Lincoln attractions with family restaurants nearby. Breakfast was included in our price.
The outside doors required keys for entry.
I am very likely
to return to the Drury Inn & Suites Springfield, IL.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
