THe hotel was clean and the employees were wonderful. The breakfast was prepared by a great group of ladies and was not just a bagel and donuts. WE had eggs, sausage, biscuits, juice, and other drinks. I was very pleased with everything there. My 16 year old daughter left her bag and they shipped it to me with no questions asked. THe beds were very comfortable. Probably the best that I have ever stayed at and I usually stay at 5 or 6 a summer.
Everything was excellent. Very neat and clean. I will stay here anytime I'm in town. It has a great breakfast. The rooms are very nice. I never used the pool. hot tub, or gym room, but everything looked clean.
We had reservations at another hotel, but when we arrived, we told they had booked us for the previous night! There weren't any rooms. The Drury was kind enough to accomodate us. By the way, I was having surgery the next day. The last thing...

My room was on the first floor next to the swimming pool. Unsupervised children had fun until mid-night. I didn't! The hall stayed wet all morning and evening. The room was dirty with few towels or hangers and everything I needed was either missing or broken - example, the desk lamp. Repeated calls to the manager or housekeeping went unanswered. The desk clerks were overworked and rude. I was pleased with a week stay in 2005 so I think maybe the hotel has seen its better days. A real flea bag!

I am somewhat likely
to return to the Drury Inn & Suites Birmingham Southwest.
