When driving through the streets of downtown Dayton, don?t worry about hitting a curb. The city has super wide streets that, at one time, allowed wagons drawn by four pairs of oxen to pull a U-turn. Today you won?t run into any oxen strolling through the streets, but Dayton is still full of its own unique highlights. The Dayton Art Institute is modeled after the famous museum in Rome, the Italian Renaissance Villa d'Este, and features an amazing collection of fine art. On top of that, while you?re in Dayton you?re in the home of the Wright Brothers and subsequently also in the home of the first ever airplane. Airplane?s have since ?taken off? more than any other invention since the printing press. Yeah! Needless to say, all those wide streets and world-class inventions have left Drury with no choice but set up a home base in Dayton.. With our great service and free extras, we want to make sure your stay in Dayton is as laid back and roomy as its extra wide city streets. Start off each morning with our free HOT! QUIKSTART® breakfast, which includes Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and many other delicious items. If researching more Italian art museums is your hobby, please do it on our free wireless Internet. And if you?re looking for a snack after a day spent U-Turning from attraction to attraction, enjoy our free popcorn and soda, served every afternoon in the lobby, or our complimentary snacks and drinks at our evening Beverage Reception.. We at Drury simply want to make sure you are rested and strong as an ox, so you can enjoy beautiful Dayton, Ohio!.

My family and I were very pleased with our stay here. We were traveling back from a funeral in Chattanooga, TN and we were very ready to get out of that car when we reached Dayton.
The lobby was gorgeous and the front desk clerk was very friendly. We had made our reservations online (used the e-saver discount and saved $30 per room!) and we checked in in a matter of minutes. We stayed on the second floor, which was a non-smoking floor, and there was no odor. The rooms were very clean (our hotel the night before had a dirty tub and a toilet that wouldn't flush, a blood stained pillow and another pillow with mold on it) and nice.
We had two queen beds in our room (we have 3 kids) and we had plenty of room for the five of us. The kids loved the pool, how cool it was to go under the divider and swim outside. The pool isn't overly big, but there was plenty of room. The popcorn and soda in the lobby was very nice. We met with family members who lived in the area and sat in the lobby for over an hour and talked with each other. The lobby area was quiet.
The Quickstart breakfast was much appreciated in contrast to the cold cereal and toast we had the morning before at another hotel. You could make your own waffles, there was scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, bagels, muffins, etc. Coffee, juice, milk, and the soda machine was available for beverages. The morning breakfast was a little chaotic, a few pre-teens and teens were being a little rambunctious, something I wouldn't get upset with the hotel over. The parents are to blame for that one. The rest of the patrons were very polite.
This is our new hotel chain of choice, I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Our first visit was excellent because the hotel was brand new and nice...that is why we returned, however our second visit was awful. It took over a half hour to just check in with a very rude desk clerk. My "non-smoking" room was actually very smoked in. I complained to the desk clerk to no avail. Children were unsupervised and running wild through the halls, playing on the elevator and spilling pop all over the floors. There was a soccer tournament in town and the hotel apparently was not prepared to properly handle all of their guests. I visit the Dayton area twice a year and will never stay with this hotel again. There are many other hotel choices in this same area, I recommend staying elsewhere.

Good
The Drury exceeded my expectation (for the price range). The room was great (roomy, polished and fresh). Other great amenities: free drinks at the happy, free long distant phone calls, indoor swimming pool and hot tub. Would definitely stay again...
This was my first time staying at a Drury Inn, and I was pleasantly surprised by the value--low price, great quality! Just to give you an idea of my preferences, I usually visit the Embassy Suites, Hilton, or Marriott chains. The Drury Inn offered ...
