If you come across an Amarillo, Texas native with a particularly squeaky voice, blame it on the helium. The beautiful north Texas city has been named ?The Helium Capital of the World? for having one of the country?s most productive helium fields. In addition to making the best of their periodic elements, the fine folks of Amarillo also make the most of their retired automobiles. Just a few miles down the road from the Amarillo Drury Inn and Suites, you?ll encounter a bizarre work of art aptly titled ?Cadillac Ranch?. Cadillac Ranch is a field of vibrantly painted Cadillac sedans planted bumper-first into the ground. And just like Drury?s HOT! QUIKSTART® breakfast, which includes Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, and many other items, Cadillac Ranch is free!. When traveling to one of Amarillo?s many attractions?perhaps The Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which features the second biggest canyon system in America, or maybe even the Wonderland Amusement Park?don?t let the city?s wacky road signs steer you off your path. Planted throughout the city are fake signs including ones that read ?This Road Does Not End? and the inspirational ?Grief Relief? signs. A city that prides itself on being fun, Drury is proud to have a location in Amarillo.. To ensure our guests have an excellent stay in Amarillo, we provide them with a ton of extras. Free wireless internet and 60 minutes of free long distance calls make contacts outside the city a breeze and our free swimming pool and workout facility provide additional entertainment when our guests want to stay in and relax. We can?t wait to have you as our guest!.

My wife and I stayed here twice in June 2009, on the way back and forth from Texas to Colorado. We had a great experience both times. The rooms are quiet, clean, and well appointed. Staff are knowledgeable and courteous. The internet works. The complimentary breakfast and evening manager's reception are great. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a variety of restaurants. What's more to want?

This is a new hotel that was very clean, great service, and pet friendly. They readily accepted our small dog. Others with dogs were there also and it did not make any impact on the hotel. Other hotels take note. Decent buffet breakfast included. Would highly recommend it.

This is a very clean hotel and the staff was very accommodating - we were traveling with our small dogs. The rooms and lobby area were very clean but was sad that we did not stay late for the breakfast bar - which looked fantastic! We will definitely again when we go back to Colorado!
