We just returned from our wonderful vacation at the Dreams in Cabo. Upon Check-in, Carlos greeted us & made us feel so welcomed. We were checked in right away. We travel to the Carribean each year and this was our first time at the Dreams. Everyting was exceptional!! We had a great ocean front room. Our room was kept spotless(Cynthia) each day & evening. It was great to always have fresh towels. Everyone at the restaurants gave exceptional service!! The resort was immaculate. Beautiful manicured with all of the flowers and the grounds were beautiful. We were at Dreams from January 29th -Feb 5th 2008. What a fantastic vacation. Bartenders were great.(Daniel) Thanks for making our vacation such a joy. Megan & John St. Louis, MO

The air conditioning unit in our first room did not work well. Also, I found that the description of the food and the rooms and the services was better than the actual amenities.
All the personnel was attentive and nice.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa All Inclusive.
I might recommend it to friends.

My fiancé and I just returned from Dreams and let me tell you, hat a Dream it was~ Our visit was from 5/12 - 5/19 2007.
Transfer from the airport was painless. We booked online. Yes, you cannot swim on the beach, but we knew about this ahead of time so this was no biggie to us! We just took a shuttle to the nearby beach every time we wanted to swim. We did however prefer the swimming pool with that great swim-up bar.
Service in all of the restaurants was great and the staff was always smiling - like they were happy to be working here. They went above any beyond with anything you wanted!
Our room was a beautiful suite overlooking the ocean. All rooms here have some view of the ocean which was just what we wanted. Imagine waking up every morning to such a view - we miss it already.
Food was to die for. We ate at the a la carts except for one night in the buffet. We like to sit down with a nice glass of wine and be waited on :)
Also, try going downtown at night. They have great nightlife if you are looking for some action. We did this only one night - should have done it again but never got around to it by the time the shows were over at the resort! Anyway, the resort was so great that we are already planning our next trip.

It was a beautiful location on the beach. However, it was not listed in the brochure or told to us by the reservation agent that you were not allowed to swim in the ocean at this location. Also, it was an all inclusive and the brochure said the restaurants were world class. The food was of very poor quality, equivalent to cafeteria food.
I am not likely
to return to the Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa All Inclusive.
I would not recommend it to friends.

My husband and I recently traveled to Los Cabos, Mexico on holiday. Bottom line do not go here. Here is what I wrote their manager in regards to our stay:
I am writing to you to inform you of the terrible service that I received while staying at your Dreams Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico. I chose Dreams Los Cabos after reviewing several other 3 and 4 star hotels in this same area. I liked the fact that there were no reservations required at the restaurants as well as the number of different types of restaurants. I also liked the location and the layout of the room/suites. Never having been to Mexico or staying at a Dreams Resort before, all I could base my decision on was the details given in the hotel brochure on line and prior testimonials written.
I booked my trip on line with a service called bookit.com. I purchased a package trip for an all-inclusive stay at Dreams Los Cabos with airfare and round trip corridor transfer tickets for 2 adults. The total of this package was $5315.00 USD. Our dates of stay at Dreams were from 19January to 25January2007 (6 nights).
We had no issues with our flight down to Los Cabos, MX via Alaska Airlines. When we arrived at the San Jose del Cabo International Airport, we waited nearly 1 hour and 15 minutes for our shuttle. In fact, unless some of the tourist advisors/vacation consultants (aka time share folks) did not assist us and another driver from a different hotel (Melia Cabo Real) make a phone call to the service picking us up, we likely would have had to take a taxi service to Dreams hotel. This is not an issue in particular with your hotel, but I was surprised that your 4-5 star resort did not offer any shuttle service directly to/from the airport. Finally our driver arrived and drove us to the Dreams Los Cabos Resort. When I checked in to the front desk, the attendant was not friendly, but ruder and stand-offish. He asked for my name and my credit card, walked over to the other side of the desk, spoke with another hotel staff member then answered the phone and then finally returned with a credit charge statement for 2000.00 peso for my to sign. He did this even though there were 2 other attendants not involved with direct customer service behind the check in desk. In fact, a female hotel staff member asked if I was already being helped when she saw me standing there. I asked him what this credit card charge was for (instead of him explaining to me before running my credit card). He said it was for "incidentals" such as telephone calls. He then gave us our room cards in a welcome brochure that had a towel card. Again, I had to ask him for some information such as location of the restaurants, their hours of operation and what the towel card was and where I had to go and get towels. I expected a different type of reception at this hotel. (By the way, we are still fighting to get the incidental charge reimbursed from the hotel. Our credit card called to inform us of the charge and despite calls and emails to this corporation (Dreams), we have yet to see the refund or a letter of apology for the charge.)
The "premium" mini bar was a refrigerator filled with flat soda, bottled water and 4 small bottles of beer. This was supposed to be restocked daily, but it was not. Usually water was what we wanted the most, and could find that down at the restaurants. But I would have expected this to be restocked daily as they touted that they would.
During our stay we sampled the different menus and restaurants. The food was fair at best and certainly not what I expected from what I read; especially the comments about all inclusive to include lobster and fine cuts of meat. There was not any of this to be found except bisque at Oceana (the seafood restaurant). Most of the soups were lukewarm as were our meals. This may have been due to the fact that the food is shuttled from different places that they are cooked and brought to the various restaurants. This combined with the unseasonably cool temperatures that we experienced (usually 50 F in the evenings and mid 60 F in the daytimes) probably contributed to the cold food. On numerous occasions we asked for the outdoor heaters to be turned on, but were told that they were only used at the evening times by the staff members. This obviously was not true. On one of the evening meals at the only indoor restaurant, Portofino, we experienced what could only be described as the absolute worse service possible. No, the waiter didn't spill anything on me or spit in my food (as far as I could tell), but it was terrible nonetheless. We were greeted and taken to a non-prepared table. The silverware and place-setting was incomplete. Instead of setting the table while we were at least seated, the waiter directed us to the wine list on the table (for additional fee), then left. There was no bread before the meal. The wait staff never inquired as to the food or he would have noticed that I hardly touched my meal. He also never refilled our water or beverages and did not bring us an napkin during our meal. I looked directly at 2 wait staff members to assist us, but was ignored totally. I had to motion to the wait staff twice to come to the table.
Our two best meals in Los Cabos were outside the hotel. It was exceptional service, and what I expected from your hotel. For paying on average over $550.00 USD per night (this is based on my calculation of the total cost of the trip, minus airfare and corridor transfer fee paid), I would have expected more from this resort. Several other hotel guests that we spoke with during our stay shared this same opinion. It is very easy for me to say that I will not return to this Dreams Resort in Los Cabos, and possibly not to any other Dreams or Secrets hotels in the future. I will also be letting my colleagues, friends and family know about this experience and recommend to them not to stay at this particular hotel either. I will also send a copy of this to the online travel service, bookit.com so that other vacationers can be well informed about choosing the right hotel.
