It was overpriced by about $100 per night. There were "private" outdoor showers promised on the website. One of the workers was doing yard work in clear view me taking a shower. The outdoor tub did not have a cover, and was not cleaned out daily, so if your idea of vacation is cleaning a bathroom, Dragonfly is the place for you.
Most Bed and Breakfasts offer local information about things to do. Dragonfly had nothing but information on what services they had to offer. The prices of massage, aroma treatments, etc., were very high. From the moment you walk in, Dragonfly is trying to sell you something.
The breakfast was fresh fruit. Most of it was day old looking fruit. The coffee was very good.
The honeymoon suite promised a bed. It was a platform with a pillow top. I was expecting a bit more for $250 per night.
The dragonfly ranch website includes the sauna and massage as amenities. They are upcharges. If you think you can swim with the dolphins from the Dragonfly grounds-don't be fooled. You can pay the inn keeper to take you to the dolphins, or you can rent equipment from Dragonfly and go to the bay yourself.
The experience of sleeping outside on a bed is very overstated. It's a step up from camping, but a giant leap from what is promised on the website.
There is a Hawaii Bed and Breakfast Association that inspects and approves B&B's. Dragonfly is no longer one of those B&B's.
