Dr. Wilkinson's is a superior motel – Posted Oct 05, 2008

Excellent

Dr. Wilkinson's is a superior motel that is great for the traveler who is looking for a great deal but a place that is still nice, clean, and friendly. Compared to the prices at surrounding resorts, you can't get a better deal. The number one...

RUN DON'T WALK FROM THIS PLACE!! – Posted Aug 26, 2008

Horrible

pros: NoneThis was truly the worst hotel experiences I have ever had!

This is the recap of an extremely frightening moment after a "long" day at work (this was not a leisure stay, I was there on business).

At 1:15am in the...

mixed feelings.. – Posted Feb 12, 2008

Okay

About Wilkinson's. On the plus side, I like the pool and jacuzze, and the staff is generally friendly. On the minus side, I was quoted a $185 on the phone for the same size room they gave to walk in guests at $139. I also had a massage there...

Relaxing & Special – Posted Apr 24, 2007

Excellent

I was shocked at reading some of the negative reviews. Wilkinson's is the core of Calistoga. Doc Wilkinson was a wonderful kind man who cared for people and their health. His children now own and manage the enterprise and continue his tradition....

Dingy overpriced 70's show – Posted Mar 11, 2007

Mediocre

Dirty, dingy, severely overpriced at ~$180/night. At ~$75/night I would consider it fair and in-line with what one should expect. At ~$180/night, it is a dump.

My partner and I signed up for spa treatment, billed as...

We'll never go back – Posted Feb 23, 2006

Horrible

I fyou respect you body, don't go to this place. We spent the night here before our mud and massage appointment. The mattresses were cheap and hard--not firm--just hard. We had sore backs by morning, and really needed a massage. At the baths,...

Stay in the Victorian Cottage – Posted Sep 26, 2005

Excellent

The Victorian Cottage is beautifully decorated, and located farther away from the activity of the main office and spa area. Dr. Wilkinson's has a really great mudbath/spa/massage value. It was a very relaxing place, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

beds are so hard massage should come free – Posted Jun 20, 2005

Okay

don't expect much, just the bare minimum. A bed (very hard one) to sleep on and a pool. The staff are the only plus. The spa area is OLD and dirty looking. If you are going to relax stay fewer days in a better hotel.
