The hotel was nice and the people were very accomadating. The only bad thing was the bathroom was very small, but in the grand scheme of things it was a small inconvenience. I would defenitely go there again.

Excellent
An INCREDIBLE value! Hotel was absolutely 1st class although they were renovating while I was there.
Staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was terrific.

A DoubleTree staple the smell of chocolate chip cookies greats you when you enter, but it's really the hotel restaurant 15 Ria that really wets your appetite. The hotel offers a convenient location at Scott Circle with access to Dupont Circle, The Business district and the White House.

The clerk checked me in quickly and I was off to my room. The service was not memorable but efficient. At the Doubletree Hotel, they give you an oatmeal/ chocolate chip cookie at check-in and it is absolutely divine. The elevators were too small for a hotel of this size and the ride to my 7th floor room was cramped. When I arrived at my room, I was disappointed. Having stayed at other Doubletree Hotels before, this one did not come close to the others. I must have received the worst room in the hotel. The bathroom could barely accommodate one person and the towel holders were dirty. The Neutrogena toiletries are a nice touch but my bathroom had to be the smallest ever. The lamps were rickety and I had a hard time turning them on. The room was so cramped with the furniture that I barely had enough space to use the ironing board. The Doubletree Hotels that I am accustomed to are more like studio apartments or resort style accommodations with a separate seating area and kitchenette. My room was comparable to the much cheaper Residence Inn by Marriott. I did not have a 3+ star hotel room by any means. The menu was expensive and the food average. I tried to call for room service but that button did not work on my phone. The additional expense of parking and internet further made this hotel a poor value. If I had not stayed at other Doubletree locations, this chain would be on my last resort list.
I am not likely
to return to the Doubletree Hotel Washington DC.
I might recommend it to friends.

Good
We joined many friends for a wedding. The wedding was grand fun; food and service was very good. Room was OK. We had two double beds, which were very comfortable. Bathroom was small. Location was was good. Easy access to Metro (5 blocks). We were...
Some of the rooms were not well kept, and the staff was not particularly pleasant or helpful. However, the beds were very comfortable and the hotel was in a great location for a reunion.

The location of this hotel was great. It was very central and a short walk to the mall and most attractions. The hotel staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, and the price was just right.
The people were very nice at the Doubletree hotel. The room was very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable.
I am very likely
to return to the Doubletree Hotel Washington DC.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I liked the helpful employees at the desk and taxi stand. I did not like that I booked a smoking room and was initially given a non-smoking. This was remedied immediately. I did not like that there were no ashtrays in the room, and I had to call to get one. This was remedied immediately also.
