The Doubletree in San Jose is your typical airport chain hotel - only a little more dated than you would expect from a Doubletree.

Although the pool and hot tub were clean and set amongst beautiful palm trees, the hotel itself felt industrial. The property was so large that it took over ten minutes just to get to the right building and navigate the maze of halls to find out where my room was located.

The room itself, although clean, looked like it hadn't had its furniture updated in thirty years. I prefer the personal feel of some of the smaller, boutique hotels in the area.

I stayed at this hotel for a convention and I was very pleased with the hotel staff's attitude toward myself and my fellow conventioneers.

This hotel made me feel excited: I felt charged and stimulated during my stay.

Every year we attend a conference at this hotel and often they have no small refrigerators. We are not asking for a mini bar, just a place to keep my spare insulin and a few cans of juice. I wish they had a refrigerator as standard equipment and safety bars around the bathroom for those of us who may be a little disabled. It would be safer.

They have a good sushi restaurant. The hotel is close to the airport. They have a good executive lounge.

The Coffee Shop service was lacking and the selection was limited. They failed to resolve plumbing issues and they offer no compensation for dissatisfaction.

The hotel has good location, rooms and restaurant. The parking gate and per-night parking fees are inconvenient.

The hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. Our only issues were with the restaurant service which was sometimes slow and inattentive.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: The suite we stayed in was luxurious. It included a wonderful spa tub and a small kitchen area.

I stayed in an executive suite. It’s worth the money.

This hotel made me feel content: It was very relaxing to be at the hotel. The staff was very accommodating.

I was very pleased with the entire stay, I stayed five days and the beds were so comfortable and the food was great. I really enjoyed myself

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The blankets were great and when I would lay in bed I was so relaxed and I enjoyed having the paper delivered to the door.

The hotel was wonderful although the carpeting in the room was very dirty and it needed cleaning. The parking situation was a bit stressful as it was hard to find a space to park even though we were staying at the hotel! had I had to park at a nearby lot and later I had to go and move the car before it was towed.

My stay there was just wonderful. I had a great time and everything was in perfect order. At one point I had trouble with my toilet, I called and they responded quickly. It was great, I had a wonderful weekend at the Doubletree hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I went during a convention. It would have been nice if the hotel would set aside parking spaces for the guest staying at the hotel. We had to park in another buildings lot then had to move our vehicle when we could to the hotels lot, before we were towed.

I have been there before. We stayed there for a convention.

I love this Doubletree, and go to it several times a year for conventions. However, the parking was completely inadequate in the past May month. The hotel had actually rented extra parking lot space, but it was not enough. We spent over forty-five minutes driving around the parking lots, and never found a space. We noticed that many other people had parked illegally in other businesses' tow-away zones. In the end, my friend drove the car around some more while complained to several hotel staffers. After about another half hour, the parking manager came out. He was very nice, and gave us valet parking for free. We had missed about an hour and a half of convention sessions, including one session we had both wanted very much to attend. Still, overall my experience with this Doubletree over the years has been good. The location is great. The staff with rare exceptions was courteous, friendly, and helpful. The amenities are very nice. I advise other tourists to book early, as this hotel tends to fill up. There are other nice hotels nearby, but the Doubletree is my preference in the neighborhood.

This hotel made me feel respected: The staff members who helped us with the parking problem were a mixture of helpful and unhelpful. But the manager, once he arrived, was quick to apologize for the problem and solve it for us. He apologized for the unhelpfulness of the staff member who had been less than on the ball and assured us that it would not happen again. He also gave me his card and encouraged me to page him immediately if there were any other concerns.

This Doubletree has gone out of its way to make people welcome, especially for large conventions such as we attend. Their restaurant in particular has improved their food and service. Their staff is always helpful and friendly, and seems to enjoy working there. The rooms are clean and well-kept. All around it is a good hotel.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The staff seems particularly interested in making sure that people don't have to worry about things. They answer questions well and promptly and can provide information about local places to go. They also seem to want people to like being there.

The staff is always very nice, and I enjoy my stays there. The only problem I had this time was a long delay in getting bath towels after I came back at night and found the old ones cleaned up, but new ones not provided.

I liked the excellent room and the excellent food. I didn't like the poor cash bar service for special events.

The San Jose Doubletree has provided consistently high quality service to me, my family, and my friends for many years. Recently their restaurant service and selection has improved significantly (particularly during conventions). Any and all difficulties are taken care of as quickly as reasonably possible.
