Doubletree Hotel San Jose

This hotel offers an excellent value, especially on the weekends! The pool and the executive levels are great!

This hotel made me feel sophisticated: The hotel was elegantly decorated. The staff was very professional!

Overall, it is a nice hotel that I have been using for a few years. The rooms and the people are usually very nice. They always treat even the strangest of convention goers well.

The Doubletree in San Jose is your typical airport chain hotel - only a little more dated than you would expect from a Doubletree.

Although the pool and hot tub were clean and set amongst beautiful palm trees, the hotel itself felt industrial. The property was so large that it took over ten minutes just to get to the right building and navigate the maze of halls to find out where my room was located.

The room itself, although clean, looked like it hadn't had its furniture updated in thirty years. I prefer the personal feel of some of the smaller, boutique hotels in the area.

It was a very pleasant experience as part of a large group and convention setting. Mostly the staff was great, except for very poor service at the sushi restaurant in the lobby bar.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff dealt very nicely with a very varied group of people.

Our room toilet was backed up our entire stay. The staff was very apologetic and the old maintenance person did his best with a hand snake. At check out we brought this issue up again and they discounted our room. Still I would rather have had a fully functional bathroom than the discount.
