17 year old man with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

This hotel has a poor location for the price. The room however, was huge, clean, and comfy. We were on a corner so we had three windows with two different views. I also loved the bathroom with a whirlpool tub. One problem was there was only one TV that spun around from the living room to the bedroom that opened up on both sides. The pool, spa and fitness center were on the fifth floor on top of the lobby and parking garage. We had our concierge take us everywhere I needed to go around the city for a small tip. I had to catch an early flight out and the internet was down so the front desk people printed out my boarding passes. Overall, I had a great stay.

I am very likely to return to the Doubletree Hotel San Diego Downtown.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!. This Hotel was HORRIBLE! The staff was so unhelpful. AC was broken and took 24 hours to fix. I asked for an iron which never came after 2 calls saying it was enroute. Didn't want to deliver me towels because housekeeping went home. Asked for a non smoking room, but apparently the whole hotel smells like smoke according to the service desk! I asked if they could call a cab for me, they said that one is always out there and I should wait! I do not recommend this hotel! Especially for $a night!

I am not likely to return to the Doubletree Hotel San Diego Downtown.

I liked the hotel's great location. But the parking garage was hard to get in and out of (narrow ramps). Also, every day I found hairs that weren't mine on my towels.

This is one of my favorite locations to travel for business and I always stay at the Radisson. I like the hotel, the staff and the easy check in/check out policies.

This hotel made me feel elegant: It has a large lobby with lots of marble and windows. It is always clean and has a full staff to assist with every need.

I am very likely to return to the Doubletree Hotel San Diego Downtown.

47 year old man with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel had difficult parking and access. It had tired bathrooms; towels were delivered with hairs on them. There were open hallway windows without screens. This was a two-star hotel at best. The pool is small with burned out landscaping lights. It looks like attention to the small details is nonexistent. But the buffet breakfast was a good value for the money.

You have to pay extra for everything: Wi-Fi, parking, etc. That was a pain. Also, we were to get a discount on meals and had to complain to finally get them. The staff was very friendly and helpful except for the lady in the store.

It took a full day to get a burned out light bulb replaced. The front desk staff was not as responsive as I would have expected it to be. This is one of the very few places I have stayed in which hotel guests are charged to park in the hotel garage.
