I felt that I had selected the best hotel in my budget for its location.
We were able to see Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the marina just a few steps away from the resort. There are numerous walking trails nearby. I don't care for only having complimentary wireless internet in the lobby areas for the price you pay for the room. I have had free wireless in my room at less expensive hotels.
We did not eat at the restaurant or use the exercise/pool areas due to lack of time to do so. My overall opinion was that I was glad I had selected the Doubletree over the other nearby hotels due to its location. Parking was free and valet parking was not required.
