Doubletree Hotel JFK Airport

Cookies at check in were good. It was downhill from there. I had reserved 2 nonsmoking rooms for two nights 5/17 & 18. One room had clearly been smoked in. The first night, people smoked in the hall of the nonsmoking 7th floor! The food at the cafe was served cold. Breakfast was only a buffet for $17.95 per person. The second night the people next door were so loud and obnoxious that we had to call security 3 times!!!!! They were even outside on our balcony, which is not meant for people to be on! I complained in the morning and received free breakfast! whoopee do! We had to listen to these people from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.. When I complained in the morning, they told me that they were the flight crew from Virgin Airlines. I'll contact them next! The room was ok. No smoke detector on the wall and the bathroom needed some work. If you can, stay somewhere else!!!! After paying $700+ for two rooms two nights, we were unhappy campers!!

We used this hotel to park and fly, however, all flights were cancelled so we never flew.

The hotel was fine, better than I was expecting from the reviews. One major negative: no shuttle service from the airport back to the hotel and since all flights were cancelled, we waited in the freezing cold for 45 minutes for a cab with all the other stranded travelers.

I would stay there again, but in the summer.

The hotel has a great location near my daughter but it is quite pricey.

The hotel was undergoing renovation and not all the work was completed in the room. For instance, the television was not connected to cable and there was no wastebasket in the room. The staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable. The construction noise started early.

It was an average place for my experience. I did like the hotel's good quality and cleanliness, however.
