In January 2008, I booked a room at Hotel Denver Tech for one of our corporate travelers visiting in our Denver Tech office. Since the facilities were undergoing construction and renovation, the hotel person assisting me was most apologetic and accommodated with a reduced "renovation rate" for this booking. My traveler had a most pleasant stay due, he felt, to the 'extra attention' given guests because of the inconveniences caused by the construction. In today's (March 2008) attempt to book for this same traveler, I was greeted on the phone by an inarticulate, rapid speaking person, who seemed inconvenienced by my phone call. Although construction/renovation is still going, with still no restaurant or bar available at the Hotel Denver facility, the nightly business rates have almost doubled. I chose to book my traveler elsewhere.
