Doubletree Hotel Austin

I really enjoyed the hotels accomodations. Rented two rooms, both were equally impressive. Woke up the next day with my vehicle vandalized because of very poor, well, no security. Customer service from that moment was horrible. After waiting for 4-5 hours on reports from the desk clerk and police when they finally arrived. I didnt get so much of a sorry or snack, or discount on the next trip. Just simply horrible customer service. oh, the manager on duty the next day, did say sorry but, we are not responsible for your vehicle or its contents while in our secure garage..... what a crock. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone especially Soldiers like myself. All your military gear stolen, who cares, not the Doulbletree Hotel.

It was a very spacious hotel that was more than adequate for my business trip. The location is not within walking distance of any malls, restaurants or other places of interest. Most places are within five minutes driving distance though.

This hotel made me feel respected: Most if not all of the staff was friendly and they were able to answer and comply with my requests.

The carpet in the rooms and hallways looked dirty. For the price of the rooms and the reputation of the hotel I thought the hotel would have a crisp clean look.

It was very nice and quiet, just what I expected. They did not have newspapers in the morning which I really looked forward to.

I think they provide good value for the rooms. The facility is excellent for a short stay and they always have convenient locations.

This hotel made me feel secure: The hallways were well lighted and the locks on the door sound.
