Doubletree Hotel Alsip

Stayed here because rooms in the Loop were expensive and rare due to a restaurant convention.

The staff was pleasant, but it is so far from Midway Airport (where the Orange Line El ends) that it is not an option unless you rent a car. They do have a shuttle, but the hours are limited.

The room looked like it just fell out of the 60s with candelabra lamps, a seafoam green color scheme, and a huge tube-television with a white plastic case.

We checked out after one day and ponied up for a room in the Loop. Not because of the decor, but simply because of the distance.

I might stay here again if I needed to be near Midway, but more likely at the Hampton Inn just down the street from the airport.

I really liked this hotel as they are always friendly and they take care of our needs.

We had asked for a ground floor room as we are handicapped which is why I called the motel direct but they didn't have it down when we arrived but they did correct it right away. It was very convenient for us as we were attending a grandsons wedding in Alsip. We were next to an entrance and handicapped parking on the first floor which was excellent.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: There was adequate and good furniture. The lighting was good. The security was good and they did not give anyone our room number but contacted us.

I disliked the fact that the staff entered my room before I checked out.

We were there to visit a sick child in Chicago. Everyone at the hotel was so very nice and cordial. We really enjoyed the hotel.

This hotel made me feel respected: They were personable and responsive to my needs.
