I made a mistake in choosing this hotel because I thought it was close to Boston. With the name, "Doubletree Hotel Boston/Bedford Glen", I thought it meant it was in Boston. It's about 28 miles to get into Boston. Aside from that let me get to the hotel's good/bad points.
The hotel grounds was still being remodeled, including the pool and the fitness room. They made arrangements with the hotel across the street, if you wanted but it's a long walk and it's not worth the effort at least for me. I knew about that before hand so no biggy. It's going to be nice when they finish.
Check in desk, The hotel staff were nice, friendly, and helpful.
The hotel room was clean. Big plus, after reading some of the reviews of some other hotels, I was a bit afraid about a dirty hotel stay. One thing that got me was the bathroom door handle fell off when I tried to get out. I called the front desk and the repair guy got to me within a few mins that was nice.
The refrigerator has a lock/key to open it which is weird, there is nothing in it. It was a bit annoying to open the refrigerator, you need to turn the key to open it. There was a few times I pulled the refrigerator out of it's cubby hole trying to open it.
One thing to be warned , there is a bottle of water next to the coffee machine, it cost $4.00 if you drink it. Just buy a few bottles of water before arriving to the hotel and store them in the lock refrigerator. :-)
Let me get to my overall feelings about my hotel stay. The price was affordable; the staff friendly. Next time, I need a hotel "near Boston or not so near Boston", I would happily go back.
