Doubletree Hotel

I was very favorably impressed by this hotel. The staff is very, very friendly, welcoming and professional. The service is outstanding. The rooms are great, the beds very comfortable, heating and a/c work as advertised. The only nitpick I had about the room is that the door needed adjusting because it would only close itself if it swung shut hard. The conference, meeting and banquet staff went out of their way to provide me and my customers with excellent service. The location is close to everything but you either have to take their shuttle (will take you just about anywhere in town from early in the morning up to 11pm) or bring your car. The restaurant is pricey, the portions are small for the price but the food is very good. The bar is great. They even have a tiny Starbucks in the hotel sundries store, but the selection of items in the store is very limited. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would go back anytime.

The hotel was in the middle of remodeling of an older hotel. The toilet bowl was stained. The lock on the room door did not work and it was late evening before the staff could replace it. There were gaps at the edges of the door and that made me feel like

I have stayed there twice. Once when the hotel was in full operation and last year when they were remodeling. Despite the upheaval staff was helpful and even gave me a good discount for the 'inconvenience' of which there was little. The remodeling looked very good. I stayed in one of the newly finished rooms and it was very comfortable. Also, a good location for Annapolis. I am planning on visiting again later this year. It is a fine, value for money hotel.

I would probably avoid the Radisson hotel from here on out. We did not have water one morning when we stayed. They were doing a lot of work on the hotel. It was like a construction site on the floors. The manager was not very helpful at this hotel.

The hotel was under remodeling.
