We contacted this property directly in response to an ad they have placed in a trade publication. They couldn't have been nicer, and the rate offered was very good for early spring in Phoenix.
The room is more typical of an Embassy Suites than a Doubletree property. Evidently, they were quite full since we were given an accessible room - with lower desks and a roll-in shower. This did not inconvenience us a bit. There were two televisions, one in the living area, another in the bedroom.
The complimentary breakfast is served in a restaurant adjacent to the hotel itself, and is a very pleasant experience. The wait staff was patient with our small children, and the variety was exceptional.
The pool area was inviting and warm. There is shopping very nearby, including a convenience store directly across the street (and a Target just a mile or so up 44th St.).
If we were just passing through Phoenix again, we would not hesitate for a moment to return to the Doubletree.
