41 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This was our first time to New York for a family of four. The 2 room suite was very nice and spacious... great for privacy from the kids in the evening. I cannot say enough about the location... right in the middle of Time Square. Its 2 blocks from Rockefeller Center, 2 blocks from a Duane Reade (drug store), 2 blocks from Toys "R" Us, 5 blocks from the Theatre district, and 13 blocks from Madison Square Gardens. We took in a Rangers game and did not mind the walk... allowed us to truly enjoy the city. We also went to Mary Poppins... which the kids enjoyed once it started.

For the most part, the hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. The only disappointment was with the concierge. I was looking for some last minute tickets for the NY Rangers / NJ Devils game Mar 27th and she could not help with tickets. I had been tracking the price of tickets on Madison Square Gardens (MSG) Exchange and watching the price drop as the event got closer. I ended up buying the tickets on-line in the lobby of the hotel 3 hours before the game and picked them up from will-call. Great game 3 - 2 Rangers.

The room rates are a lot more than we normally spend but I have no regrets... it was well worth the cost!

This Hotel was hard to find as the hotel entrance is only a doorway and the lobby is not located on the street level. At first I wondered what I was into as I entered a bare room from the street which had only a security person and 3 elevators. As the elevator took me up to the 3rd floor where the hotel lobby was located, I felt a little better. The lobby was quite a nice surprise. After checking in and going to my room, I felt a lot better. After staying there the first day, I felt good about this place. Location is exellent for excitement as it is in the heart of Times Square where all the action is all the time. Lots of places to experiences NYC's fast food cusine (pizza, deli's, Mcdonalds, etc.) Prices for a days stay are quite competitive to others I check out, but the room accommodations was very good and the staff people are super. You will not be dissappointed. It made my first visit to NYC an exciting first impression. Excellent for the price.

The location was great and the concierge was very helpful. The suite was a nice feature, since there were four of us staying. It had nice size rooms.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Doubletree Guest Suites New York.
I might recommend it to friends.

The location was terrific, in walking distance to all the Broadway shows. The bellmen were great, but the room service was slow and they were not able to bring us what we asked for. The restaurant was ok, but nothing to write home about. I would stay there again for the location alone.

This hotel made me feel secure: There was always a bellman or a guard at the entrance checking to make sure that only guests were entering the hotel. Additionally, there were bellmen and guards at each floor window toward Times Square on New Year's Eve.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Doubletree Guest Suites New York.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

24 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel was in the center of Times Square, as advertised. This was very convenient for quick trips back up to the room when the weather became too hot outside. The staff was efficient and helpful. The room itself was alright, nothing spectacular, but not unsatisfactory. I would have expected a little more for the amount we were paying. The view from the room was incredible.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The beds were very comfortable and there was enough furniture in the living room for the two of us to lounge very comfortably while watching the pay per view movies.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Doubletree Guest Suites New York.
I might recommend it to friends.
