I liked having two rooms. If I was staying for a long period of time, it would be more like a house than a dull hotel room. Although I liked having two rooms, I thought the living room was too big and wasted space that I paid for. The living room could have been reduced by twenty square feet and still be a comfortable size.

I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The room was very nice and rather large for a hotel room. It was a good location for a business traveler. The hotel could have had more information on local events. The service in the restaurant was good, the food was average. The breakfast buffet was rather disappointing. There was very little to chose from for a buffet. As for the hotel bar they had a limited selection of beer.

I might recommend it to friends.

Overall, I liked the room. It would be good for extended stay travelers because of the two rooms per unit floor plan. Having a living area and a bedroom would make it seem more like a house. Disadvantages are that it is bigger than necessary for short stay travels. The living room was too big. It does not need to be that much space between the TV and the couch. The other spot of excessive space was around the room entrance and around the kitchen table. Reducing the space means more guest rooms in the same size building area. That might translate to lower prices for hotel guests or higher profits.

Okay
The suite was spacious and with ample room for my friends and I to enjoy a long weekend. The only negative was that the room smelled like cigarette smoke and there were leftover cigarette ashes around the trash can by the desk. One of my friends was ...

Its pluses were its location, the front desk staff, its very large rooms, and comfortable beds. The negatives were that housekeeping was way below par, and it had a cheesy decor in public spaces.
The front desk staff was friendly and courteous, the warm bakery chocolate chip cookie was a nice plus.

Beware the room you reserve online will not be the one you are offered when you arrive, confirmation number or not... We reserved 4 river view suites and 1 cityside view suite online in April 2007. When we arrived in July 2007, we were told those rooms were unavailable, they had given them to others for anywhere from $400-$800 (~$200-$600 more than thier advertised price). We spoke with the front desk, the manager, attempted to contact the GM, no response from him. Bottom line, beware of this particular Doubletree, I've stayed at others with no issues, but this one is to be avoided. Classic bait and switch tactics.

I hated the fact that this hotel did not have a pool and the service was not good. I would definitely not come back and would not recommend it to anyone.
