Doubletree Elizabeth Hotel

Everything about the hotel was wonderful, until the last day of my stay. I asked the bellhop to reserve me a taxi for 10:00 in the morning for my trip to New York. To my suprise there was no taxi waiting for me at 10:00. A few taxi's pulled in and out while I was waiting, but the bellhop kept telling me that is not yours. "You are waiting for this one taxi driver" When my ride finally arrived over a half an hour late, I learned from one of the taxi drivers that the reason the bellhop did'nt let me go with one of the other taxi's was because "The special taxi driver" give's them a kickback. This really would'nt bother me, except for the fact I was late for my meeting, so the bellhop could make a few bucks.

Every thing was just fine, I could not find anything wrong.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They let me check in before my room was ready and gave me coupons to go shopping at the outlet mall.

The check in time was very late, around 3 PM. We were not notified of this and had nowhere to go in the meantime with all of our luggage. There was no free continental breakfast.

At the Wyndham Hotel Newark they charge you for parking. You can't park anywhere else, but they'll stick you with a fee for each night that is not usually advertised. During my stay, I had a neighbor who was a prostitute who brought up her customers. I'm sure they had to pay for parking, too. The hotel staff was rude and unhelpful.

The only problem I had with the Wyndham hotel was that the restaurant options are limited and pricey. I found it to be very comfortable. The air conditioning in the room our training was held in was way too cold.

This hotel made me feel welcome: There was always more than one person at the desk, so I never had to wait to ask a question. If the person I spoke to did not know they answer, she asked another. I appreciated the shuttle service, which made it possible for me to go into Manhattan for the evening. The room was luxurious. I appreciated having a comfortable chair and an incredible mattress.
