Don Cesar Beach Resort Loews Hotel

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the food and beach aspect of our trip to the Don Cesar. However, the staff was somewhat snooty and phony. We felt as if they expected us to graciously tip them for everything, which we did anyway but that was annoying. Because my boyfriend and I dont bring our wallets to the pool or beach, we felt we got attitude from the bar tenders when asked about our IDs (even though we are 23 years old). I felt somewhat scrutinized by the staff. The fact that the hotel allows dogs bothers me because a dog in our hallway was constantly barking. Those are my only complaints. The area, beach, pools and food were top notch.

This hotel is very over priced and the service is awful!

It was our wedding night and we kind of expected it to be perfect considering what we had heard about this hotel. We checked in and they said we were upgraded to a suite with a bay view and balcony. We originally booked a JR Suite with an ocean view with balcony!

When we got to our room we pulled back the drapes and to our surprise the "bay view" was the view of the parking lot! We could literally have conversations with the valet parking gentlemen. We called the front desk and asked if they had anything with an ocean view even if it was just a standard room and they did not. It was parking lot or nothing because they were booked!

They did NOTHING to compensate us and were rude about it. Later that day we went down stairs to have lunch and after waiting 15 mins after first sitting my husband had to go get us a waiter! On top of it all they promised us a refrigerator for my flowers and they never sent it up. We later called to manager to let him know we were disappointed and it was our wedding night and he said, "I don't know what to tell ya." Well, enough said, we will never go back!

There was a little problem upon arrival. I had taken three rooms and one room for adults and two toddlers was the smallest while mine for two adults was spacious. So, we moved the rooms and we told them what we did. The hotel is expensive, but it is an excellent experience from the luxury of the rooms to the two spacious pools to the beach. It was a treat that will be remembered for a long time. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: The room made you feel extravagant since it was so luxurious.

I stayed there for a conference and we had a discounted rate which made it reasonable. If I had a choice, though, I would not have stayed there. I felt it was very expensive and not really worth the cost. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was nicely furnished, but the view was really bad and the room itself was quite small.

It was a beautiful location. They had plenty of on site extras. The rooms were way too small for the price.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The spa was absolutely wonderful. The beach and the pool were very relaxing.
