Of all the Disney resorts, the Fort Wilderness resort is my favorite by far. You get all the amenities of an upscale hotel without the crowded hotel feel. Even though the cabins are only a few feet apart, they are situated in a way that makes you feel tha

This is the fifth time visiting Walt Disney World and the first with children. We all had a great time. We went just to see how Disney sets up for Christmas. The week after Thanksgiving was beautiful as hardly any people were there. It was a very short wait for any of the rides. We never had to use the Fast Pass during this time. There were many people there Thanksgiving week but they all left the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. The following week it felt as if you had the park to yourself .This is also an inexpensive time to go as hotel prices are at the off season rate until just before Christmas.
This hotel made me feel entertained: They had a Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom at night with limited admission.

very likely

I
would definitely recommend it to

We loved this resort! It was clean, well maintained, the staff was incredible, and it was just an incredible home away from home for our family of five. The grounds were quite extensive, but there were frequent busses which brought you where you needed to go. We would absolutely stay there again. Our five year old liked it so much he wanted us to move there permanently!
This hotel made me feel relaxed: The rooms had plenty of places to sit and take it easy. The resort was very low key and quiet. The cabin was on a quiet road with lots of trees and wildlife which just begged to be quietly observed.

I
would definitely recommend it to

Our travel agent booked us in a cabin here by mistake (we found out at the airport). After being in a panic about staying in a campground, we were pleasantly amazed by the cabins, it was like staying in your own private log cabin home. The decor is very much like Wilderness Lodge, but the guests and staff are much more friendly, kind, welcoming, and just plain nice. It's like having your own perfect neighborhood while at a major theme park! It was a very quiet wooded setting, extremely secure, we swam after 2 am without a care. The only drawback: extensive grounds. It takes a long time to travel by bus in the campground before transferring to a park transport. I recommend spending extra money to rent a golf cart, it saves time and is extra fun! Also, it's tough to get light bulbs changed, due to the distance away from the service staff. Be persistent. You're guaranteed to have a great time! I have stayed in the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and the former Golf Resort, but the cabins beat them all for quiet and friendly relaxation!
