We stayed at the Boardwalk Hotel after the Animal Kingdom Hotel could not honor our reservations, because of construction. Upon entering the hotel room, we looked out the front window onto the private porch, and saw a pile of 8 dirty dishes and 1 wine glass that were from the previous guest in the room. We had to call housekeeping twice over the course of 2 days, and they STILL weren't removed. We finally tracked down a manager, and he begrugingly called housekeeping personally.
The dowstairs toilet in the hotel room was broken, and leaked water all over the floor. This is something we, again, had to call maintence twice about. The shower in the upstairs bathroom had a clogged drain, and as I took a shower, the water would not drain out of the shower floor. At least they fixed this problem after 1 call.
While walking through the hotel lobby one morning, I looked at a cabinet, and what did I see crawling across the front of it, but a ROACH! That's right, Disney's Boardwalk Inn has Roaches.
The turndown service the hotel offered was inconsistent. Our beds were turned down once over the course of our three day stay.
After we checked in, and got our tickets, the next day, when we tried to get into the Animal Kingdom, we found out that the lady at the Boardwalk Inn did not load our tickets, and we had to step out of line, and talk to guest services.
It rained one day, and the entire sidewalk from the back door of the hotel to our room was flooded with 2 inches of water, even after the rain stopped.
I am very displeased with this hotel, and will never, ever stay there again.
