Amazing
member icon Excellent Experience! We loved it!

35 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We stayed at the hotel from the 17th of April until the 21st. We absolutely loved it. The service was incredible and we felt very well taken care of.

The beds were sooo comfortable and we all slept like a rock! The rooms and bathrooms were spotless - incredibly so. I read some bad reviews before we left and started to get nervous, but when we got there, I was really very impressed.

The only reason the review is not a 10 is that the room had outdated menus in it so when we ordered room service, we were shocked by the much higher prices than stated, and were told that we had old menus. They promptly brought new ones up, plus an arrangement of Disney postcards and pins and stuff to apologize, which was really nice.

Alicia, the room staff, was so nice and she arranged my daughter's stuffed animals in cute scenarios on her bed each morning and made everything look so nice :)

Staff were friendly, prompt and courteous, and the location could not be better! The pool was fantastic, and despite some people's bad comments about Goofy's kitchen, we were very impressed by the food there for the character brunch and would highly recommend it. It was pricey but our dd got lots of personal attention from the characters and the food was great. I really don't like waffles, but the Mickey shaped ones they had were AMAZING!

All in all, we had such a good time and would highly recommend staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

I want to book again for November!!

Just as I remembered it staying there so many years before. The place looks better, and is much nicer. Everything was great, we organized reservations all there with ease. Check in was fast and easy, as well as having very courtious staff. The pool is remarkable and the location is so close to everything. The room had that pure Disney atmosphere that I expect from a Disney hotel.

I am very likely to return to the Disneyland Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Great
member icon Magic - older, but clean and comfortable

This is an older hotel but has been renovated just a few years back. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located at Downtown Disney and very close to the entrance to Disneyland, California Adventure and the monorail. There is a wonderful brunch buffet on the first floor with plenty of photo ops with Disney characters. You have to ask for a coffee maker but it is free. We saved about $100.00 per day/ per person by booking at this hotel instead of the Californian (another Disney property hotel) and I couldn't honestly tell you why the Californian, a nice hotel from the looks of it, costs that much more.

This place is clearly older. The hallways of the Sierra Tower (Dreams) are narrow. This is the oldest of the three towers but has the best view of Downtown Disney and Disneyland. The vending machines were empty, there was not a lot of ambiance. The decor was not impressive, and the only reason to stay there is the convenience to the whole park. Its at the end of The Downtown Disney area. We paid over $300 a night for one adult and a child. We had a great view. A plus is early entry into the park, and the historical celebrity photos in the lobby. I'm glad I can say I stayed there at least once. The Grand Californian is more $$$ but much newer and spacious.

Not worth it, promises are not kept in this hotel, we were promised $200 and never got it, pools closed too early and shot down twice in middle the day at 90 temp outside, no breakfast, rooms are poor decorated, gift shop downstairs has poor service, food too expensive at goofy kitchen, self parking is far, we paid over $1500. 3 days not worth it at all.

Go to the local hotels on main street for better value.
