Built in a theme of Amercia's Northwest national parks and Native Indian culture, the villas are a comfortable place to stay in Orlando. Each villa has a kitchen, living area and all the essentials you need for your stay. There is a nice 'outdoor' feel to this resort, even with the restaurants which serve a big selection of food from barbequed meats to snacks, salads and sandwiches. There are swimming pools and 2 spas and a beach to relax on. The fitness center is well equipped and you can also have beauty treatments and saunas. There is also a good games room, supervised childrens' programmes and a playground. The staff here are friendly and helpful and great with children. You can get from the airport via the Magical Express, which you need to book in advance. The resort also offers a shuttle service to the main attractions and there's a lovely boat ride to the magic kingdom too.

Everything in the hotel was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. The atmosphere and the excellent service made me feel very comfortable that I did not have to worry about anything.

It had a relaxing atmosphere. We didn't set a schedule. We used their dining reservation services, and had purchases sent automatically to our resort for pick up when we returned. We used the Disney transportation services for both arrival and departure. It was great not needing to find transport or worry about getting our luggage when we arrived. Before leaving for the trip, I joked about it being a stressful vacation as opposed to a relaxing one. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased that I was actually able to relax and have fun and not worry about the little things. Disney takes care of the details.

Everyone I came in contact with greeted me. Most of them actually got down to the level of my children and talked to them. They would ask if they were having fun!

Okay
I cannot get a straight answer regarding whether there is bus transport from the Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom, or if the boat is the only route. Cast members give conflicting answers, and even the signs at the bus stop disagree. I suspect that...

This hotel was in a perfect location to Magic Kingdom Park. The resort was clean, the staff friendly and the restaurant wonderful. I highly recommend this resort.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a very welcoming hotel, but the rooms need a little bit of updating. The sit down restaurants are good (Whispering Canyon), great (Artist Point), but the counter service restaurant is not up to par for this hotel.
