Set in well kept grounds and by the waterside, this resort is a lovely place to stay and can be quite quiet and peaceful. There are a couple of places to eat here, and the breakfast is worth a look - especially banana stuffed french toast! There's a wide choice of food availabe, and although some of it is quite pricey, the dining experiece of eating by a 32-foot water wheel is defiantely something different! There's a main pool, kids pool and spa, an arcade, playground, watercraft rentals, bike rentals, a jogging trail and horse drawn excursions - so there's plenty to do if you're not at the Disney parks. There's also a pleasant boat ride to Downtown Dinsey. The rooms here are set in lovely loactions and are nicely decorated and the staff are polite and helpful. There's free transportation from the airport on the Magical Express, which you need to book in advance and also a free bus shuttle to take you to the parks.

We had a great time at the Riverside Resort. We went in February last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, our pool was big and roomy, the laundry facilities were spaceous, and the commisary was more than adequate. We liked...

We stayed at this hotel for one night before we checked into our villa at Saratoga Springs and I wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean and comfy and walking around the resort we felt like we were in a beautiful Louisiana bayou. The...

I have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside twice, and am currently planing a third trip. Though it is not fancy, the landscaping and overall feel of the place is so relaxing, Disney magic! I've stayed at another Disney resort, and haven't had the heart
Just returned from Port Orleans Riverside, amazing place. There were 5 in our party, my daughter my 3 grandsons ages 17, 14 and 12, and myself. We requested adjoining rooms block 18 at Alligator Bayou and we got them. These rooms are a nice size

October 2007. We stayed at Disney Riverside Port Orleans Resort. We had two room 4 adults and 2 kids 2-1/2 and 4 years of age. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We stayed 5 days and the rooms were cleaned on a very timely basis. I...
This place is beautiful and you really feel like you're at one of WDW's Deluxe Resorts. The landscaping is beautiful and the rooms in the Magnolia Bend section have a luxurious decor to them.
We stayed a POR from 08/31/08 to 09/05/08. Overall everything was great. If you are using Disney transportation to get to the parks, I would suggest using the North, East, or West depot. We used the South depot one day and had to wait 45 minutes...

My hubby, 3 children and I have been to Port Orleans riverside 6 times and think the serivce is excellent. the children love the arcade, swimming pool with water slide and the bikes. The area is very safe for children and I always feel safe myself. The shop has a wide variety and is very well priced. This hotel gives you the Disney magic without pushing it in your face, the tranquil walks the hotel grounds provides are just what you need after a busy day at the parks or shopping. The boat takes you to downtown disney and the captains give you some lovely stories along the way. we are in the process of planning to go again need year roll on 09!!!
Would definetely stay again!

We just got back from our Disney vacation and were very impressed by the Port Orleans Riverside staff. Our housekeeper was excellent. She had made a washcloth animal for us the first day and after that created various scenes with the stuffed...
47 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My wife and I just returned from Disney and had a wonderful trip. The resort is absolutely perfect! The southern charm and wonderful staff make this resort a must. The rooms are done with typical Disney flair. The food court and sit down resturant provide eating for everyone. Boat rides to Downtown Disney and Epcot, along with the extra magic hours just add to the benefits.
A few tips would include to avoid the South depot to use Disney transportation. This is far and away the busiest of the 4 bus stops. I would also recomend at least 1 day of relxing at the pool. Shade galore surround the pool if you are not into tanning. We can not wait for our next visit.
