This resort is conveniently located on the Dinsey monorail line, so access to the main attractions is good. Set in a Hawaian theme, the beach, palm trees, ponds and varying type of vegetation make this a relaxing place to stay. It's popular with familys with young kids, so there are a lot of activities for the younger ones. Some of the rooms have recently been renovated and these are very clean and comfortable some of these have a nice garden view. The other rooms are still of a good standard but the concierge level is worth it if you can afford it, as you get breakfast and snacks served during the day. There are restaurants on site aswell as places to get snacks and food to go. The Spa and Health Club offers some nice beauty treatments and there's a well equipped gym, volleyball courts and water sports for those with any energy after the parks! The staff are helpful and really make this an enjoyable place to stay.

21 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I go to Disney every year with my mother, brother and extended family. We've stayed at most of the Deluxe Resorts and this is by far our favorite! My family represents quite an age range (the youngest being 7 and the oldest being 49) and there's so

We have made many trips to Disney, but this was our first stay at a Deluxe resort. We had a great week at this hotel. You can't beat the location. We used the monorail, boats and buses without issue. There is no need to have a car when staying a

I was concerned about our first visit to the Poly because I had seen some bad reviews, but should not have been - it was great! The rooms were clean, we had towel animals every day, and the rooms were not dark at all. Beautiful grounds, it was a tropical paradise! I would certainly stay again!

I wish I could tell you about the Polynesian. The way it actually was. The endless Seven Seas Lagoon. The infinite specks of coral we called islands. Coconut palms nodding gracefully toward the ocean. Reefs upon which waves broke into spray and...

Okay
I am no clean freak but expect a clean room without sticky counters when checking in. The housekeeping staff left much to be desired in our long house. No large tip....no clean room! The CM's throughout the Poly were just OK. We had heard how...

I loved the location, grounds, people at desk, but the rooms were very dark and not clean. The lighting by the ref. and coffee maker was none, we asked them to repair the light which was not working, we were there 10 days they came to repair same the day before we left. I found a bug in my bed which turned me off completely!!!!!
We just returned from a family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Although we had an excellent stay at the Polynesian Resort, this review is more geared toward a Disney experience that exemplifies why we will continue to return year after year. My brother, sister in law, mother and two nephews, ages 1 and 4 went to Animal Kingdom park on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Unfortunately, after lunch, my sleep deprived brother managed to throw away his wallet with the pizza remnants. More unfortunately, we didn't realize it until 2 hours later. Upon our return to the restaurant, our fears were confirmed that the trash from lunch was long since removed, not only from the pizza restaurant, but from Disney property, on its way to be compacted. My brother explained that along with cash and credit cards, his only form of picture i.d. was in the wallet, which would be problematic for his return flight home. The manager of the restaurant assurred us that she would search and contact other Disney personel, in hopes of finding the wallet. Nevertheless, we assumed it was gone for good and tried to salvage the rest of the day after the requisite calls to banks, etc. You can imagine our shock later that evening when we received a call from that same manager at the pizza restaurant advising that after searching through 200 bags of trash, my brother's wallet was retrieved! She even offered to bring it to him at the Magic Kingdom! Albeit with a lingering "aroma", my brother's wallet was returned in tact, with all of his cash and cards in place!
Disney is always a pleasure and I've had many good experiences with hotel and park staff. However, such a thoughful act of pure, unadulterated, compassion, amazed us all to the point that we vowed to re-recommend Disney to everyone we know! Obviously, I highly recommend a trip to Walt Disney world. You won't be disappointed!
