This resort is classed as a Dinsey 'Moderate', so the room sizes aren't as big you may get in some other Dinsey resorts, but they are clean and tidy. There's a wide range of recreational activities on offer, from 6 pools, some with waterfalls and slides, a beach to relax on, games arcades, playgrounds and much more. The resort os fairly large so be prepared for quite a lot of walking. There are a number of food outlets serving all kinds of food, snacks and drinks. There is a bus to all the main attractions but there can sometimes be quite a wait for this. The resort as a whole is really well kept and you can watch the sunset over the pool areas too. There is also a shuttle service from Orlando Airport.

Caribbean beach was BEAUTIFUL!! Clean room, excellent service. Could use a couple more soft drink machines, but overall great time for our 9 and 10 year olds. Would DEFINATLY stay here again. Overall, 9 day vacation excellent. Reservations needed fo
Our family spent 6 nights at the Caribbean Resort. We arrived right in the middle of Tropical Storm Fay in August of 2008. Part of this might be a little biased due to the fact that the weather was so terrible.

We were a little apprehensive after reading some awful reviews on this site but my husband, daughter and myself had a fantastic time in the CBR. We stayed in Jamaica and our room was near to the beach and pool, not to mention the bridge to Old Port

Upon opening the door to our room, we could smell mildew. It was very humid and stuffy in the room and the carpet felt wet all over. It seemed like the room hadn't been used in a long time. The refrigerator was not plugged in and did not start to cool off until we were about to check out the next day. There were flies in the bathroom area buzzing around non-stop. There were hardly any soaps and bathroom extras to use. I called for a late check out for the following day but house keeping was still banging on our door the following morning saying they had no record of our request.
We checked in CBR for 1 night since I could not extend my stay at the Port Orleans Riverside. We checked in at 3 on August 7, I noticed the room floors were sticky an UNCLEAN but I used their towels as rugs to mitigate this issue. We left for the Theme Parks and did not come back until 1AM, I then requested for late check out and the front desk said we can speak to housekeeping and usually they can allow 1PM as the latest time. Houskeeping keeps knocking at your doors by 8am in Disney resort hotels (I noticed this in Port Orleans too) wanting to do your rooms - Which doesnt make sense since we wanted to sleep in and they keep disturbing us. When me and my kids got up at around 930 we got ready and decided to pack up my husband and 1 child showered first and by 1115 it was my turn to shower, I was shampooing my hair when the water had stopped running normally. It felt like there was not enough pressure for the shower to run, the water was drizzling and it was BROWN (dirty)... EEeeeeew! I got out of bathroom and contacted front desk. They said there was a problem in the ENTIRE Building we were at - We were at the Barbados Building #14 room 23, He was not at all friendly - I EVEN ASKED IF there was another place I can shower - I WANT OUT of that place - He said "NO" what a creep no alternative to an issue like this - how sad , I asked to speak to the MANAGER he said he will email the manager to call me - I waited and waited until 1215 no phone call, no water and shampoo on my head still. I called the fornt desk again and this time a girl answered she was better at calming me down but not good enough - I told her I need this fixed or provide me with a better alternative - If I was still in the room by 1PM they will charge me for an extra day - NOT ACCEPTABLE I want out of that dump NOW!!! She says that the Manager was on his way to meet me at the room - He never showed up and I was sick and tired of waiting so I left very UPSET and frustrated - I DO NOT recommend this place at all - You are better off staying at the Port Orleans it costs the same....

First, I too was a little apprehensive after I had booked the hotel then read reviews. Let me say this. Every one of us has different things that are important to us.
I consider myself very easy going and went with a very open mind. This resort was an ABSOLUTE JOY . I went with my two daughters, 23 and 19. They absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave the resort or Disney for that matter.
We were in the Jamaica section, with a nice little walk across the bridge to the food court. The food court is standard fare, but we are easy to please anyway. The food cost exactly what I had figured. Each meal for all three of us ran about $20-$25. Ballpark. One thing I would like to point out so you know ahead of time. JUST BE PATIENT WITH THE FOOD COURT WORKERS, especially in the morning where it seems to be busiest. If you keep this in mind you won't get frustrated, just relax and enjoy.
Everything was extremely easy here at the resort and Disney. Disney made this trip an absolute joy.
The hotel room was clean, cool and bright. The staff, extremely courteous and helpful. My daughters asked for towel animals, (yes they are 23 and 19) from the room attendant and got them.
Everyone in the gift shops were very courteous and pleasant.
We went with a very easy going attitude and were not at all disappointed in this resort. Very pretty grounds, clean and very tropical. Caribbean music played all through the bushes on your walk to the foodcourt. We actually felt like we were a world away. I really recommend this resort to everyone.
Also, the buses were great and also made our traveling easy. Yeah you wait a little while especially in the morning when everyone is going out but they put on more buses in the morning so the wait isn't very long. One suggestion though you might want to keep in mind. The buses are kept very very cold and even though it is a pleasure to get on them after a hot day at Disney you might want to keep a little hoodie or sweater in your bag.
Just go on vacation, keep an open mind, don't be so picky and just enjoy. You won't be disappointed with this resort, really! I would go back without hesitation.

From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a great time. It's Disney World! The grounds are beautifully manicured and invite you right in. The guard at the front gate was very professional and friendly. The Custom House staff were very friendly and explained everything about the resort, the Disney passes and answered all of our questions. It was a very pleasant experience. Yes, the resort is big, but that has advantages in that it is very quiet and peaceful. Unless you are severly out of shape the size of the resort is not an issue. It is a great way to walk off all the treats from Disney World. The pool at our building was used by many individuals, adults and children. There were no problems with noise. The food court did have a limited selection of food that we liked, but the burgers, fries, pizza and muffins were good. The food was priced exactly where I thought it would be for a resort. I wasn't suprised by the prices. The one thing that I loved about the resort was the ability to use my room key to gain access to the Disney World Theme Parks and Water Parks and to charge all of my purchases at the resort food court and gift shop and all my purchases at Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Water Parks to my card. This is very convenient for keeping track of expenditures. I loved it. We would recommend this resort and we will return to Caribean Beach Resort in the future.

Me and my husban stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort for our honeymoon and it was great. We were worried about how it would be after reading acouple bad reviews, but we found nothing to be bad about CBR, First, i suggest to research your hotel/hotels befor you book them. All of the review i read and i went through alot of them, all stated mostly the same things. Nothing for the kids todo. The resort is to big and there was to much walking to do. The rooms were not up to par. The Caribbean Beach Resort is everything they say it is on the internet. There is alot of walking if you choose, but there is a bus we saw all the time that takes you to every island with out walking miles around the lake. The CBR does have some flaws like the food. Some of the food was ok, but not the greatest. We ate at the resorts resturant and it was really bad and high in price. we heard afew other guest say they will never go there again either.
On the upper hand, this resort is beautiful. we were able to watch epcots fireworks everynight at 9. They had entertainment everynight outside the food court and the walk is peaceful and quiet. best resort i have stayed at. I have stayed at a higher priced and a lower priced one and the middle is were i had the most fun. We had no problems with the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. You may end up running into bad staff , but you will get that no matter where you go, high or low priced resorts. Because the resort is so big, it was very quiet and peaceful, the pool area did get alittle noisy, but there kids having a good time and the kids were out of the pool befor 11pm. The only reason i'm writting this review is to let people know not to rely on everyones opition. The last thing i would like to say is that the CBR is a great place to stay/Sleep. Since the Resort is really big, you don't see to much of other people, unless your in the food court. I recommend this resort to all
