My wife loves this place. We drive 300 miles to get there. I go because of her and because of the restaurant. Three years ago, our first time, the food was unbelievably fantastic. Lately we have detected a slight change in that quality. We noticed that the freshness of the food seems to be waning. Yesterday our food had certainly sat in the kitchen for a while before being served. Much of it was cold. But hey, we'll be back, hopefully it was just an oversight. But for $24.00 a plate we have a right to be a bit picky.
I am very likely
to return to the Dillard House Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

My experience was bad. I was put in to a room with a jack and jill type bathroom. What the front desk failed to mention was that I was assigned both rooms. Instead, I was given the key for the room with the twin beds and no television. When I called to express my concerns, management did absolutely nothing, and were fine having an unhappy customer.
Add this to the fact that the property is old and creaky, I would urge travelers to look elsewhere.
