Desmond Hotel

I recently had the experience of staying at the Desmond hotel. It was a pleasant surprise after being stuck in Albany after my plane was grounded. Great location to the Albany airport. I will definitely come back next time I am in Albany.

We celebrated New Year's at the Desmond. We requested a balcony room, were promised this, but when we arrived we were told it was no longer available. The food was less than appetizing, and was not even hot enough, therefore our new years dinner reminded us of fast food. The package for the evening was overpriced and the accommodations were just ok. We expected more for our money. A few days later we emailed the Desmond with our concerns, and were not acknowledged. Several musical venues made the evening bearable. The staff was polite and friendly, however, there was much left to be desired.

This is one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the country. A very warm, cozy, comfortable atmosphere; unique Colonial style decor. The staff is efficient & friendly throughout the hotel. The bar and restaurant are outstanding. The only negative is that it is somewhat pricey for the Albany area.

The Desmond hotel was an excellent hotel. I was very impressed with the regional charm that was expressed by the facility and the convenience to restaurants and other locations in the area.

This hotel made me feel excited: It had an excellent ambiance. The restaurant at the hotel was good.

The hotel is very nice, although a bit worn in some of the less frequented area, especially for the price. The staff was all very pleasant. My company participated in a function at the hotel and everything went smoothly.
