Desert Rancho Motel

We were relocating and made the reservation in May 2006 for August. When we called to confirm the reservation in July, we were told that they want more money than originally quoted for the room since it was Labor Day weekend. After our arrival we agreed to an additional $50.00 for the weekend. This not being enough for the manager, he tried to kick us out by screaming and ranting so he could make more money. We absolutely did not give him any reason to try to throw us out onto the Street. The manager took advantage of our situation, knowing that we had no where else to go (remember we were relocating & all rooms were booked out in the vicinity) and he knew it. The room was filthy(huge spots on carpet, mold and feces on bathroom walls, etc.)after we cleaned the room thouroughly, we left it cleaner than it was when we arrived. Since the manager intimidated us and took advantage of our situation we checked out after a week (which we had paid in advance). We then stayed the other two weeks (until we could move into our house) at a friendlier and cleaner Motel where we did not have to fear the maniac manager.
