This was a great place to stay to go to Disney. This is the closest hotel for walking to Disney. It is literally at the front gates of Disney!
My wife and I took our 3 1/2 year old son on his first Disney vacation. Our experience at this hotel was great. We stayed 4 nights (Tuesday night leaving Saturday morning). The staff was very polite and responsive to any needs. We arrived at 11 AM and they offered us a parking pass right away and said the room would be ready anytime after 3PM which was the posted check in time. We parked, went to Disney, and returned at 3PM to a nice room.
It was very clean and a decent size room. AC was cold, cable tv, hot shower, and decent bed. The only thing I was a little disappointed was the breakfast. They had some fruit, some rolls, toast, and an oj machine...that was it. We elected to walk next door to Dennys one day and IHOP is 2 doors down the other direction. IHOP food was a little better then Dennys but thir prices are terrible...33% mark up at least. Dennys was the standard menu with standard prices for any Dennys.
The last night we were there we took a swim in the heated pool and a dip in the hot tub. It was a Friday night about 8:30 PM and we had the entire pool area to ourselves.
One other great thing about this hotel is your parking spot is free. I read a lot of reviews and most hotels in this area charge $12 a night. We were very pleased to not have that expense.
We will definitely stay here again on our next Disney trip!

We stayed here in late January and were very pleased with the location and the hotel. The breakfast was OK, although the dining area small. The price for off season great and the location great!!!!!!
There were 5 of us staying in one of the family suites. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The only problem was the sofa bed. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on We will come back here the next time we visit Disneyland

Parking is a nightmare and of you’re fortunate enough to find a spot either at ground level or underground, maneuverability is difficult and can challenging for even an experienced driver. Some of the front desk staff would benefit from...

My husband and I drove up from San Diego in separate cars as he was attending a convention. We had an event in Hollywood, so in our haste to make that on time, we didn't secure an additional parking spot for the second car. After returning late...

A 5 minute walk and your in the park! Suites are large and perfect for families. Staff was very helpful prining our boarding passes. We stayed here in 2001 also.

The location was great for our trip to Disneyland. It was affordable. It was a good place to stay because other places were conveniently located nearby.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Desert Inn and Suites.
I might recommend it to friends.
