Well first of all I should have listen to other people and how they rated this hotel. This hotel is SO Disgusting. My Daughter and I walked into the room it had a bad smell. Carpet was so gross I would'nt walk on it even with shoes on. Cracks in the walls. No good views of the beach . But what got me the most I sit on the bed my butt got wet. I pulled the covers down the bed was wet. I notice the pillow case looked black so I soon notice it wasn't the pillow case. I pulled the pillow out of the pillow case it was black with mold and wet. At that point I took the pillow and walked to the front desk and asked for my money back. I then drove next door to The La Quinta Inn and Suites. The rooms are very clean, great view of the beach, pool is also clean im glad I changed hotels. Never again would I go to Desert Inn.. Makes me wonder about the people who rated this hotel as being good . It's Dirty other words Filthy just plain Disguesting.. Wonder what they live in at home if they thought this place was clean. I had to leave that Hotel I didnt want to get a illness from it.
I am not likely
to return to the Desert Inn Resort Hotel and Suites.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Excellent
this hotel is definitely not exactly for families but great for younger crowds who wanna party especially on spring break. ive come here every spring break and a couple new years for like three years now.
My husband and I and another couple also stayed here for Bike Week 2008. It was the worst mistake ever!! Rooms were not fit to be in let alone sleep in. Mold everywhere, bugs, no water pressure, filthy beds and furniture, stained and had terrible od

Horrible
This hotel is the worst I've ever seen. There is no doubt that the positive ratings are planted be the owners. Our feet stuck to the carpeting, We never took our shoes off. We bought "flip-flops" to have something to wear in the bathrooms. The...
Okay...well, to start off, i will point out that we went a couple years ago. However, reading the reviews on this place made me feel a certain obligation to post my famillies experience.

Check-In time is 3:00pm. We didn't get there until about 10:00p.m. and had to wait 30 minutes to check-in, because their internet was not working so they couldn't check us in with a credit card. Ridiculous when we had made a reservation!

Mediocre
I was placed in a smoking room with no assistance to move to a non-smoking, which is what I requested! Someone was smoking pot down the hall. The director at the pool was directing "chicken fights" in the pool with children and adults!!! EVERYONE...

We have stayed at the Desert Inn Resort for 12 years in a row. We also have reservations for this July. We have gotten to know the staff, We have been comming to the Daytona area since 1991 and for the last 12 years we have stayed here. The pool deck is so big that you can relax, the girls like the internet, and the game rooms, we always get a kitcken so we can fix meals. If we have a problem we just call up the front desk and someone is always there to take care of it. This hotel is not Brand new...Its not the hilton, but I challenge you to find a better deal anywhere on Daytona beach!! I personally do not believe the horror stories that are written on this web page. The hotel has always been a confy stay and a much needed getaway for me and my family for the last 12 years....Try it!!
