I was a little reluctant to reserve a room here after reading some reviews, but I am glad I did. It's location on the south end of Edmonton, just off the Whitemud, was very convenient.
We arrived in Edmonton a day earlier than expected and called to see if we could check-in a day early. The hotel was full or close to but she managed to get us in to our room without having to switch rooms because of the early check in.
The staff was very professional and very friendly.
Upon arrival in our room, everything looked pretty good but we noticed there was only 2 drinking glasses and one coffee cup (for my wife, my son, and I). It was late when we checked in so it didn't bother us. I left a note for the maid in the morning and it was corrected.
Also I could not get the fridge to work (the freezer part worked but not the fridge part). It was no big deal to us as we had a cooler with us, so nothing was said to management.
Other than that, the hotel, pool, and restaurant were excellent. I highly recommend it.
I read earlier reports of remodelling at the hotel but all was done when we were there. Also there were reports of poor parking but we had no problem parking in the underground parking space (at all hours of the day).
If you are going to be in Edmonton, don't pass this Hotel up.
