Okay
The faucet fell off the shower and a bulb was burned out, but both were fixed as soon as we let the front desk know. Everything had seen better days, but the bed was awful. It was like a see-saw, sit down on one edge and the other side goes up. ...
My son and I stayed at this hotel on Feb 24, 2007. He had an audition early the next day.
Unfortunately for us there was some type of party going on until 1:30 am, the music was so loud and so much bass-my head was pounding. When we called the desk manager at 11:30 she assured us the party and music would end at midnight, which it did not. We called two times more and she assured us it would end. Finally, at 1:30 it ended.
Then around 2:00 the fire alarm went off and we could smell smoke and it sounded as it people were evacuating. When I called to find out the front desk assured us everything was ok we would be alerted if we needed to leave. When the fire truck arrived I became concerned, but felt I would be alerted, so we attempted to get to sleep. However, now the elevator alarm went off consistently until the wee hours. I felt like I was in a strange dream sequence.
The next morning there was no apology no offer for certificates, nothing. Frankly, I was so tired and aggravated and didn't want my son to witness a scene, that we just left. Never ever again will I stay in any Days Inn anywhere now after that.

Okay
Stayed for a few days, city shut down due to threat of snow - thankfully the hotel is within walking distance to a good mall, other restaurants are a short drive, safe area, the room was good, staff is friendly, only negatives are that the parking...

From the outside and lobby area, the hotel looked great but looks can be deceiving. The room had an odor, and a stale air-conditioner that did not work properly, it made loud noises all night. It had a small bathroom, and no maintenance staff on duty at night to fix things. Their only option in the middle of the night is to move everyone to another room.
The TV had static on all channels, I had to wiggle the cable cord often for clear reception. The hotel had 5 floors, but only had drinks and vending machines on first floor and ice on every other floor. It was very inconvenient if your room was on the 5th floor. The refrigerator in the room had old grey ice build up and had not been cleaned in a while. The parking had a bit to be desired. On a good note, the Belgian waffles were good at breakfast.

The air conditioning in my room did not work. I suffer from night sweats and the weather that weekend was very warm. I complained to the management and they said that they were sending a maintenance man to fix the air but he never came. They didn't even offer to change my room. My kids and I were miserable. Then upon checkout they offered me a $10 refund for my trouble. Also, you could only get drinks from the first floor, and my room had an odor.

The front desk gave me the wrong room instead of the on reserved. They were unwilling to move me to a room matching what I had reserved. The paint was peeling, elevators did not work. The ice machines have not worked in over six months.
