female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
During our recent travels, we looked for properties close to the freeway for the ease of access and prevention from becoming lost in metro areas. When we arrived in Las Cruces, the first property we came upon was The Days Inn. We were surprised that a Days Inn actually had a restaurant & lounge. The food was good and the lounge had a really good band playing (acutally the lounge was pretty crowded but everyone was respectful and enjoying the entertainment). It was a nice way to top off our long day of driving. Our room was defintly not the Hilton, but we didn't expect it to be. When we arrived they said they had a managers special for $54. The rate included the room and a HOT american breakfast in the restaurant! The hotel just across the street wanted $56 and we would have only gotten the stale danish and coffee - for the money and offereing we felt the Days Inn was just fine, clean room, comfortable bed and a nice hot shower! The staff - they were amazing! Hospitality and caring was defintly a strong point - always asking if everything was okay and was thier anything they could get for us. I don't pass through Las Cruces often, but I am pleased with what found and would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay when and if passing through or staying in Las Cruces.
