We had a wonderful stay at the Days inn and suites. The hotel is located off I-95 and close to everything, casinos and mystic. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious with excellent housekeeping staff. Their suites have a couch/seating area. There is ...
37 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We spent three nights at this hotel visiting family from June 30th through July 3rd. The rooms were huge and were also clean and nice. We had a suite with 2 Queen Beds and a separate living room with sleeper sofa, chair, and table w/ 2 chairs, microwave, coffee maker and fridge the beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathrooms were also very clean. It was a great start to our vacation on the East Coast and we would definitely stay here again. This hotel is located in a perfect location and within walking distance to restaurants. We also got a great AAA rate through the hotel. Great stay.

31 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed at the Days Inn in Groton, because of a wedding to attend next door. When reached the front desk was very hospitable and also when asked to check in early we were offered a room to change to get ready for the wedding and to check into our room later. It seemed like to property was very busy all the time we stayed. The rooms were very clean and it was a suite at a price we could have got a regular room nearby. The check out was also express where we just had to drop keys and leave. We really loved this place and we would definately recommend it to people and also will visit here any time we are in the area.

I am surprised that this hotel passed health inspection much less quality inspection from the chain. While the hallways had new carpet and painted walls, the rooms were the worst I have ever seen.
Problems included curtains with cigarette burns and unidentified matter stuck to them, bathroom vanity with mold in the bottom, and a horrible smell that we could not identify.
We stayed in the room long enough to call Hampton Inn who referred us to Best Western since they were booked for the night. I literally told both the Hampton and Best Western that we were "escaping" from the Day's Inn and they understood.
The only good thing about this hotel was that they did not try to charge us for the first night.
Prior to the travel, I wrote to the Day's Inn Customer Support website as I read some of the negative reviews on this Hotel to ask if they had a guarantee. The only reply I received was not to believe what others had written, but call the 800 number. I should have believed it.
I am not likely
to return to the Days Inn and Suites Groton/Mohegan Sun/Foxwoods.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The front desk staff was nice but that was about it. The bathroom floors were sticky and not cleaned very well at all. Water from sinks sputtered. We had a baby with us that wanted to crawl around and became filthy with black legs after 4 minutes...

This place was shabby and worn, with the constant smell of curry and cleaning products. Wireless internet was slow to non-existent. Entry from the highway is not marked (it's at the traffic light, not where the sign is) and I waited for over 10...
