A very pleasant hotel with a very accommodating staff, especially Amit at the front desk, and General manager Mr. Doshi. There is a very healthy continental breakfast served 6-10AM, and a in a very nice light-filed room, overlooking the outside pool. what is very convenient is the microwave and refrigerator in the room. I downgraded from suite to a simple room because the suite was too large it had a full living room with a fold out bed for too, and a separate room fir bedroom with a double bed. both rooms had televisions and wide glass windows. The hotel is very tastefully decorated with many nautical scenes appropriate for the Connecticut coast area. Room rates are reasonable and affordable, and computer is available for guest in the lobby area. The hotel location is quite convenient just off Exit 86 of Interstate 95, halfway between New York & Boston.

We spent three nights at this hotel visiting family from June 30th through July 3rd. The rooms were huge and were also clean and nice. We had a suite with 2 Queen Beds and a separate living room with sleeper sofa, chair, and table w/ 2 chairs, microwave, coffee maker and fridge the beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathrooms were also very clean. It was a great start to our vacation on the East Coast and we would definitely stay here again. This hotel is located in a perfect location and within walking distance to restaurants. We also got a great AAA rate through the hotel. Great stay.

We stayed at the Days Inn in Groton, because of a wedding to attend next door. When reached the front desk was very hospitable and also when asked to check in early we were offered a room to change to get ready for the wedding and to check into our room later. It seemed like to property was very busy all the time we stayed. The rooms were very clean and it was a suite at a price we could have got a regular room nearby. The check out was also express where we just had to drop keys and leave. We really loved this place and we would definately recommend it to people and also will visit here any time we are in the area.

I am surprised that this hotel passed health inspection much less quality inspection from the chain. While the hallways had new carpet and painted walls, the rooms were the worst I have ever seen.
Problems included curtains with cigarette burns and unidentified matter stuck to them, bathroom vanity with mold in the bottom, and a horrible smell that we could not identify.
We stayed in the room long enough to call Hampton Inn who referred us to Best Western since they were booked for the night. I literally told both the Hampton and Best Western that we were "escaping" from the Day's Inn and they understood.
The only good thing about this hotel was that they did not try to charge us for the first night.
Prior to the travel, I wrote to the Day's Inn Customer Support website as I read some of the negative reviews on this Hotel to ask if they had a guarantee. The only reply I received was not to believe what others had written, but call the 800 number. I should have believed it.
