Good
This may have been the world's smallest hotel room, but it was clean and comfortable w/ a surprisingly nice little bathroom. My biggest complaint was that it was too hot in the room & the thermastat didn't work. However, I didn't talk to the...
male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Completely safe near the I-90 freeway exit. The motels in this area apparently do a lot of winter sports business, so they have some extra amenities like pools, exercise facilities, and special meal plans. I stayed here during the 4th of July weekend. I found the cleaning staff to be efficient, but many of them seemed to be on temporary visas from eastern Europe. Not a problem except where you might have to explain something about the room. Like for example, the extra grease on the bath faucets or the soap tray. Another downside is that rooms with windows facing the dumpster or the roadway (east or south) will have noise during the evening and early morning. The air conditioner might mute this effect but the evenings get cool enough in the heat of the summer to just keep the window open. Lots of shopping around, including Wal Mart and K Mart. A casino/lounge is next door at the Best Western. I had an in-room coffee maker and could use the microwave in the dining area. There is a coin-operated guest laundry. Some rooms are larger because of the winter influx of sports enthusiasts. This motel is only a few minutes to the old downtown and MSU and about another 30 minutes to Big Sky and superb rafting on the Gallatin; an hour to Chico Hot Springs, and 90 minutes to Yellowstone's north entry (near Mammoth Hot Springs). The Missouri Headwaters Park is a bit east. I found it to be a quiet location to spend a restful outdoors day. For hippies and green people, there is a great food coop grocery a short distance away on Main street. You can walk but it might take 30 minutes. By the way, the morning breakfast at the motel includes a chef who will cook your eggs to order!

The suites in the new section are wonderful, with a sitting room in front and the bed rooms in the back. They are spacious and comfortable. Free hot breakfast a great plus, and a lobby computer station was useful. I love the lobby fireplace.

Horrible
The hotel is old and the one bedroom was stinky. It was located right beside the ice machine and it was used a lot during the night and was very noisy. The walls are paper thin and you could hear people talking in the room next to you. The...
